Oct 6th Eva Simpson (Mrs Walter McKenzie of Springfield died after an operation
7th got some cleaning done. Ernest arm is still quite sore.
8 A miserable wet cold day. Mr Coffin had Communion Service at New Glasgow. We had Jack Stewart take our car and I went to the funeral. We couldn’t get near the house. Must have been between four and five hundred cars there. Poured this evening so we didn’t get to church.
9 Another rainy day and I didn’t wash. Thanksgiving and no men here at all.
10 Still wet. Cleaned the kitchen some, scrubbed and waxed floor.
11 Mrs Artie Clark died in PEI Hospital. Misty and cloudy all day, air very damp. Washed this morning clothes didn’t dry. Tired at night.

12 Dense fog this morning and everything dripping. Dad and Grant went to S. Side for parts for spring of car. Finished ironing. Cleared up nice before dinner. Institute at Manse to-night.
13 A nice day and the men working. Just doing odds and ends. Went to Bible Society meeting which wasn’t.
14 Raining this morning and most of day. We went to Town to-night and boy did it rain. Terry a darling, is growing and so happy.
15 Sunday. Lazy to-day. Had a good sleep this morning. Wind colder to-day but its showery. Mushrooms for supper.
16 Not a bad day but I didn’t wash. Not much doing.

17 A nice day, not very cold. Got a lot of little odd jobs done.
18 A lovely day all day. Not feeling very spry.
19 Lovely morning but wind came around bitter cold in afternoon with showers.
20 A nice day. Men have been working at drains for tile at the Club House. Mr Smith here to dinner. Grant took me to Hunter River this afternoon. Got new ration Book No. 5.
21 Fine in morning but pouring rain and blowing a gale at night. Went to New Glasgow with Mr & Mrs Coffin at night and left my bread on top of warming oven.
22 S. Heber & Pauline & Terry came out before dinner. Showery part of day
23 Washed this morning, busy all day. First fine Monday in four weeks. Men putting tile around Club House.
24 Another fine day. Got the ironing done.
25 Fine and mild. Dahlias and geraniums still blooming away out doors.
26 Quite mild out to-day. A time for Lem Wyand and Ella to-night, a long walk for us so we didn’t go. Rained before 10 PM and lights were on and off and on.
27 Too wet for Fenners to pick potatoes so we went to Town after dinner. Mr Smith came and brought our supply of honey 45 lbs. We
