April cold and sunny. The snow went off of fields and very little frost in ground but the hills held the snow and we had a long spell of bad roads. Went into Town with Mr Smith on the 28th, stayed with Pauline and went to Baptist Church on Sunday AM the 30th. Reuel and Enid had supper with Pauline & Heber that day.
May 1st A lovely day but I was in bed all day with sore back. Got up about 4 PM. Louise has chicken-pox.
2 Dad & Jack came in for me. Feeling pretty sore but came home. Twas a nice day.
3 Lorraine house cleaning and this evening walked in to see how Edward Lowther is. Reported that he has pneumonia.
4 A perfectly lovely day. Temp up to 76A. Lorraine cleaned my room and the one above Kitchen and bathroom. Everyone tired. Grant here to-day for first time.
5 Another lovely warm day but wind cool to-night and everyone is hoping for a warm rain. Cleaning the kitchen and the water pressure put a hole in our tank. What a day and what a mess. Clarence and Elwood Stewart here this evening.
6 Rained a little last night but colder to-day. Grant took our tank to Hunter River and got it welded. What a day and what a mess but the kitchen looks nice to-night. We are all tired.
