17 Grant only here three days last week. Alf Simpson called one afternoon and Lorne & Mary and boys here one evening. Feeling better to-day. Our car still in S. Side. Wrote to Hazel, Lorraine and Keith.
18 A good wash day and we got clothes dry and it rained at night and all day Tuesday. Ironed. Rev Mel.
19 Aitkens son was buried in Town to-day.
20 Showery but not cold. Mr Smith and Grant here to dinner. 5th Victory Loan under way. Raining hard at night.
21 Fog nearly all day and some rain. Mr & Mrs Coffin took us to S. Side for our car. Got it painted and it looks swell if it did cost us $43.50 for paint and repairs. Got home at 5:45.
22 Mr Bishop died at his fathers home in Kentville, NS. Had almost a week of rain and miserable weather with plenty of rain and wind. Letters from all the family. Mr Coffin took us to Town on 26th and we went to show “This is my Land.” Good.

30 Mr Coffin took me to Hunter River this morning about the bond in the 5th Victory Loan. Got a box of cookies. Cleaned the house in afternoon and made a cake. Girls good and very busy. Hockey games started at Maple Leaf Gardens to-night. Maria Matheson has had a stroke. Dad has a good many outside windows on.

1 and 2 Fine.
3 Rained all day and until Friday night. Austin Graham and Vivian White married at Murray River. Heber & Pauline took Alfred & Annie down. Didn’t do much but knit and do the house work. Did some cleaning on Friday & Saturday.

6 Pauline and Heber came out Saturday night and went back
7 after Church Sunday night. Heber working at his car all day. Maria Matheson died this morning at Axsworthy.
8th Did a pretty big washing and ironing. Ernest & Grant got some fresh cod & smelts at Rustico this afternoon.
9 Ironed some in morning. Went with Mr Coffin to the funeral at Crooked Creek and its well named. Mr Coffin had the service.
10 A perfect day all day. Finished ironing. Grant not here. Cut out a blouse for Ina. Freezing to-night.
11 A fine day for Armistice Day.
12 Rained hard all day.
13 Fine in morning but pouring rain again by 3 PM and all night. Mr Coffin here for dinner & supper.
14 Rained in morning but cleared up in afternoon. Pauline came out from Town with us on the
27th Very heavy rain and bad road. Jack took us to Town, Mr Coffin went with us.
