26 here to supper. Cold to-night.
September a lovely month. Had two bad storms but for the most part wonderful harvest weather. Keith sold out on the 9th all but farm and got the mortgage from Mrs Lowther and is finished with her for all time we hope. Ina & Louise came up Sept 9th. Keith and
22 Anita left for Toronto this morning so we are alone again. Had a lovely trip up West on 18th & 19th/
25 Has been raining for two days and nights. Most of grain is cut and some farmers have finished harvest. Potatoes are a very poor crop, many fields will not be worth digging. Ours are poor this year and small. Had planned to go to Town to-night but roads are too bad.
26 Rained all day. Mr Coffin still on holidays.
27 Fine. Washed and Jack took us to Town in afternoon. Had supper at Paulines. Got home around 11 PM. Brought Mrs Beers out to Alec’s. Pretty fine weather until
Oct 1 Oct 1st rained at night. Not much doing. Had a big big wash and ironing. Finished up two little cotton dresses for girls. Rained.
2 Rained in morning and again at night. Very warm all day. Went to New Glasgow at night took Annie & Alfred Moore on their 20th anniversary.
3 Miserable morning. Annie Lowther called to take the

3 girls to Sunday School. Jack took us to Town to Baptist Church at night.
4 Fine but cool. Washed in AM and Mr & Mrs Coffin took us to Summerside and we left our car at Howes to be overhauled and painted. Rained on the way home.
5 A terrible day all day of wind and rain and most of night. Terrible wet for potato digging.
6 Fine this morning and I picked a gorgeous bouquet of yellow and white dahlias. A good breeze blowing to-night will help dry up grain that is out.
9 A lovely morning and the small girls out most of day. Mr Smith called in afternoon and went up to Moore place for apples. A shift of wind and turned very cold. Heber and Pauline came out late and it was snowing and raining.
10 S. Thanksgiving Day. We had a chicken for dinner and all went to Church at night. Austin and Vivian came out with Heber and Pauline and are to be married the first week of November. Feels like a hard frost to-night.
17 S. Lovely weather all last week, warm as August some days and fine all week until last night when it rained through the night and blew hard all day to day. Ina, Louise, & I had a touch of stomach flu. We canned 40 mackerel one evening. They were getting great catches of them at Rustico all week.
