16 Blowing this AM and very warm. Quite a number around to-day and the girls gave 32 lunches. Ben Graham died this afternoon, had been a great care since January. 55 registered today.

17 Still blowing a gale and very warm. Quite a big wash and such a job getting it dry. Every one weary at night. Pauline Elaine & Dad & I went to Rustico in evening. Jennie Gables McKenzie and Miss Bateman Mr Anderson around at night.
18 Funeral in afternoon. Pauline took a load to Town from Jerrys. Anita & Dad took Grants car to the funeral. Company to-day. Mr Anderson went to Tyne Valley and Jennie and Hannah Batemen went to shore in afternoon and up to Freds and Erns at night.
19 Mr Andersons car broke down on Andersons Bridge and he has plenty of worries. Had planned to go back this afternoon. We all & Elaine went to Town to see show “This above all.” Had Annie stay with Mother. John Leo McGuigan was shoved off a load of grain as it was going in the door and fell on the cement floor. Died four hours afterward in hospital.

20 A nice day but quite warm. Ernest cut our summer savory and pulled the onions, a grand crop of both. Everyone work at harvest. A great deal of grain cut. Good crop.

20 Anita took Miss Bateman to train and Mr Anderson went along too and had to go to Town for a clutch lining for his car. Got fixed up and he and Jennie got away right after supper. A crowd of airmen and Letta & Laurie here this evening. Also Eleanor Brown and Laura Johnston and the Brinton family.
21 Letter from Marion, she arrived home safe and sound and will have a chance to live now. Rev Major MacIntosh and Mabel here to day and Elaine and Marion & Beth here this evening. The Smith family up this afternoon.

22 84. Blowing hard again to-day and very warm. Cleaned Mothers room and waxed the floor. Girls busy and everyone much too warm for comfort. Miss Grant of Vancouver here this evening.
23 S. 85. Still another very warm dry day. Quite a crown around this afternoon. The girls had 45 for meals and 67 registered. Miss Grant spoke in Baptist Church at night. A representative of WCTU.
24 Cooler this morning and cloudy but cleared up in afternoon. Washed in morning and Ernest and I dug our cobbler potatoes. Would have over seven bushel and we have used them for a month. Had people in until 9 PM.
