flurry at night and turned colder.

1  Beacher Court is sawing ice on the pond and of course the men are all hauling. Cars & trucks and sleighs on roads.

2  2B. A bright sunny morning. Very cold. The men finished the ice. It’s grand and clear, all ice. Dad not feeling very good these days.

6  A lovely day and Pauline & Heber and small boys got out before dinner and left for home after 4 PM.

7  Another lovely day and I did a good big washing and some cleaning up in Kitchen. Cold again at night. Ernest pretty good to-day.

8  Ironed and wrote to Marion & Lorraine. Not cold to-day. More like March weather.

9  Blowing hard, wind south, S. West and it thawed quite a lot. Will spoil what has been a perfectly good sleigh and car road. Letters from Anita and Aunt Jen & Waine.

19  Its been very changeable weather all winter, two or three days cold and then mild again. There was a parlor social at the Manse last night. Mrs Goff broke a small bone in her wrist on Thursday. Gertrude Lamont has been at Freds most of week. Dad has been some better this week. Anita is going to take a new job as cook at Willard Hall.
