12 had nine in for lunch. Dr Claude down and found Dad better than he had been for a year.
13 Cloudy in morning but cleared up and quite hot. Had a huge washing and I got some ironing done after supper. Girls picking raspberries, cherries, and goose berries. Sold four books to-day.

14 Blowing a gale all day and quite a squally cloud came up at night but not a drop of rain. Girls got a nice lot of berries.
15 Clear and hot early, wind came around north and cleared the air. Anita & I went to the funeral in Kensington. Three ladies staying here all night and the boarders from Geo. McCoubreys here this evening, also RCAMCs Wright and Lindsey here for evening.
16 Pauline Mrs Baker Myrtle Moffat Miss Macdonald & Mrs Donahue to Town and brought Raymond Wright and Pat Lindsay back with her to stay until Sat. morning and did they ever have a fine time. Bad fires in Nova Scotia.
17 A lovely day, terribly dry and hot. Busy, a few around. Mr Smith & Mrs Smith up for berries.
18 One of the driest and hottest days and every thing just snapping dry and heavy smoke at night. The girls took the boys to Hunter River in the morning. Anita went to Hunter River for some boarders for Lornes.

19 A grand day after a grand rain that was terribly needed. Raining again to-night. Alvin & Jean Webb. Mrs Campbell and Mrs Smith of Margate down this evening and stayed until 10:30. Had a sing.
20 Must have rained some in night. Blowing a gale and a terrible job getting clothes hung on line. Got most of ironing done. Anita got a nice pan of raspberries. 11 in to-day for meals. Started to rain and poured
21 all night and some heavy thunder. Rained all the forenoon. Anita took four of Jerrys boarders to Town. Not feeling very good but better to-night. Len Warren and Job[?] here this evening.
22 A perfectly lovely day all day. Pauline and I went to Town, took some of Jerrys boarders. I had dinner at Enids. Had car in garage nearly all day. Girls had 18 in for lunches and Mr Smith here to dinner.
23 Raining to-night been cloudy all day. Not much doing to-day. Anita & I went picking berries and to-night went down to Alec’s and Roy Toombs.
24 A perfectly lovely day again. Anita went to Brackley with a party from Jerrys. Rev & Mrs AA McLeod here this evening. Girls got blue berries to-night.
25 Another perfectly lovely day, quite warm. Marion leaving Toronto this morning for Rimouski and home. Irene Simpson here to see Mother.
