16 Nice day but cold. Everything a glare of ice. Lowell here working at ice. Neta dyeing for my mat. Home in evening. Dad has a nasty cold & sore throat.
17 Cold and a terrific gale. Almost impossible to keep kitchen warm. Lowell and Willie here.
18 Cold but clear as crystal. Men at ice. Wyands finished at shore. Pauline & Neta at Ern MacNeill’s in evening.
19 Perfect day and snow and ice going fast. Fenners got henhouse moved in afternoon – twelve houses. YPS at Jerrys at night – good crowd.
20 Perfect day – just like April. Sadie and son & Mrs Johnston here in afternoon and for supper Egg circle meeting. Sewing club at Greens in afternoon. Jas. O. and Dad in to Amandas in evening.
21 One more beautiful day. Roads are getting bare in a lot of places. Service in UC in afternoon – best crowd for ages. Mrs Lowther here for supper. Dora & Ira appeared out.
22 Perfect spring day. Girls washed. Fyfe boys down with car in evening and they went as far as Roy Toombs. Blanche and Ethel here for evening.
And we had a fun game of Monopoly.
23 Cloudy but mild. Nothing very exciting happening. Pauline in to Lewis’ for her music lesson. Johnson’s and Robbie out in evening and we had a fun time at Monopoly and fox trotting! Neta put in a kitchen mat.
24 Beautiful and mild. Dad went to town and from there to Carleton. Institute at Wyands and a real good crowd. My program. Perfect night. Midnight when we got home.
25 Snowing and very mild. Neta & I drove to NS to teacher’s study group. Snowing very nasty and so soft. Took Jeanette too. Choir practice and committee meeting here at night.
26 Perfect day of sunshine. Quite a bit of snow down and its just like feathers. Mr. McLure here giving music lessons. Amos doing the work.
27 Nice day but snowing and drifting a bit. Hooking, exams, etc. Girls here to sewing club in afternoon. Home in evening.
28 Rather cool but fine. Very lazy day. Amos looking after barnwork – new calf. Baptist service at night. Edward took us up. Gordon down with car & we went to sing song at Manse after service. Pauline sick at her tummy.
