1  20A. Lovely day. Mr. Greens funeral at noon. Mr Quigley arrived about one o’clock. He took home a nice little collection of murder stories. Blanche here to see about having shower for Sadie here next Tuesday night. Annie Earls terribly sick up at Freds. Mrs. Fred in bed too. Dad went down to Greens with Jas. O. in evening to hear the will read. They are executors.

2  0. Zero at Albany this morning. Came home from Keiths. Lovely day but frosty. Road to Hunter River has the usual number of pitches. Had a lovely little visit at Mr. Quigleys and got home at night. Choir practice Rosie & Jimmy, Edward, Ham here. Alex and Mary got their books.

3  Bad snowstorm turned to rain in afternoon Waine has neuralgy. No YPS. Fred here in morning to see about relief for Earls. Folks up there not very good.

Temp went to 46 above In Ch Town about 10 pm

4  34A. Annie Earl and Hester better this morning. Lovely day. SW wind clear and warm all day. Dad and Clarence Stewart out on telephone line. James O. Milton Green and wife here about Will Greens business in the evening.

5  S 32A. Pretty rough day, no preaching. Mr. Quigley had a funeral in New Glasgow in afternoon, Stewart Parkinsons baby. Snowed quite thick in afternoon but not cold.

 

6  26. Colder but not a bad day. Ernest & James O went to Town about the Green business. Edward here helping with the work. Not much doing. Dan Graham died this AM. Miss Stewart didn’t get back, no school.

7  24A. Lovely day all day. Ernest got home about 5 PM and Keith came soon after for Lorraine. Mrs Wright very sick, pneumonia. Shower here at night for Sadie Johnston. Blanche, Anna, & Mabel helping decorate. Big crowd.

 

8  Not so fine, wind more north west and a nasty drift going. Funeral at 12:30. Tired. Got house snugged up again.

 

9  Not very fine. Jerrys lost another horse Queenie. Dad killed beef at Freds. I went up and did some baking for Hester. Mrs Wright seriously ill.

 

10 36A. Very red sunrise and snowed and finally rained at night and blowing hard. No group again. Made potted meat. Premier Walter M Lea died in Hospital. Dad sawing at Jerrys hurt his back.

11  26A. Lovely day. Helped Ernest thrash in morning. Got word of Mrs. Wrights death in afternoon. Have lost a real friend.

 

12  Lovely day. Ernest not very good but he and Annie have started to Carleton with Lassie. United Church this AM. Expect Anita would get to Carleton last night.
