23 Rained hard all day. Been very busy all day. Mr Edwin Johnstone here this evening and addressed the Group on his trip to Vimy France.
24 Poured rain all day. Fine at night and Ernest & I went down to Alec’s to see Maud. Aunt Sadie came back from Bay View.
25 Lovely cool day. Went on our usual trip to Park Corner with Alec & May & Maud. Anita and Arthur came up. Reuels were out.

26 Lovely early but clouded over and rained. Got a telegram from Murray and the new son and heir to the Laird name has arrived. Nan & Arthur went back home this morning.
27 24A. Bitter cold and ground white with snow and ice. Cleared up and blowing a gale all day. Men putting machinery away.
28 22A. Not such a bad day but ground froze hard and no one can get their turnips in. Ernest & I went to Creek. Shower for Francis Clarke at night. Ernest Lorraine & PJ went.
29 Lovely morning but raining hard by evening. Letter from Hospital from Marion. No news.
30 Lovely day. Ernest finished turnips and got the cabbage and part of carrots in. Aunt Maud would start on her home journey this AM. Play practice in Hall. Surveyors at work at Alf Moores.
31 Fine but cool wind at night. Lorraine & PJ went to Hunter River with Milton Green to dentist WCT Union at Mrs Wyands at night. Keith & family up and were here all night.
Nov 1st Cloudy day. Kieths at Austins for dinner. Perley Daisy Raywell and Velda came down for Aunt Sadie. They didn’t stay long. U. Church at night. Lorraine Lowell & Gordon Fyfe went to Carleton.
2 Nice morning. Washed. BW and Mrs LePage here in afternoon. Lorraines tooth giving her trouble. Rained hard all day.
3 Warm 56. Cloudy and rained all forenoon. Play crowd booked for North Wiltshire to-night. Blowing a gale. They had about $5.00 for their trouble
4 Election day in U.S. and Roosevelt is returned with a very large majority. A good thing for Canadian trade. We had Mr Cautley, Mr Ross, McBeth and Prowse here for dinner. They are putting up their stakes prepatory to surveying. Raining hard to-night and all night. Francis Clarke and Clarke Craswell married.
