L.M. Montgomery came the 10th

 

8  Nice day after the rain, very warm. Aunt Sadie and I went to shore and gathered Irish moss. Choir practice here at night.

 

9  Just a perfect day all day. Walked up to Freds in the morning and busy all day. Ernest ploughing down by pond.

 

10  Just as nice as yesterday but started to rain about 5 o’clock. Maud came about noon with Mr & Mrs Middleton and Mrs Beaton. Aunt Sadie went back with them. Lorraine & PJ went to Town with Ern & Winnie.

 

11  A lovely day. Had some visitors. Arthur and Anita came up. Baptist Church at night. Alex and May came in after church. Alvin and Misses Manderson were here.

 

12  Nice quiet day in morning. We were all tired. Nan & Arthur left at 8 AM. Prairie Rose play at night. Roland Beaton and his mother brought Aunt Sadie home. Quite a wind squall at 5 PM.

 

13  Fine and cold. Ernest shipped potatoes to Montreal and Toronto. Busy day. Reg & Mrs Paterson and Douglas here for supper. Mrs Wyand and Dick Campbell & Irene & Annie Lowther here this evening.

 

14  Still cold but fine. Little snow flurry in afternoon. Maud went to visit Amanda.

14  Ernest & I went to Winnies and up to Fred Clarkes.

 

15  Nice day but cold wind. Pauline sick with cold and sore throat. Had Ern McNeills & Mrs McLeod to supper and Dr & Mrs Mellish and Mr and Mrs Quigley here for evening. Busy day.

 

16  Pauline in bed all day. Had Jerry & Anna Fred & Hester and Laura in the evening.

 

17  60A. Quite warm. Busy all day. Mother down for the first time in over a year. Maud went down to Alecs this evening.

 

18  S. Lovely fine warm day. Communion service in U. Church in AM. Reopening of New Glasgow Church. We went with Alec & May. Had car trouble on the way home.

 

19  Cooler but fine. Ernest killed a little porker. Stephen back.

 

20  Threatened rain but turned out a very decent day. Did a big washing and got it dry, Pauline is better. Invited over to Jerrys to a Aluminum demonstration and dinner.

 

21  Lovely day. Aunt Sadie went to Bay View. Busy ironing etc. Park men here this afternoon also Mr Metzler for supper.

 

22  Blowing a gale all day. Very busy, baking bread, pies, chicken, etc. for Chicken Supper in Hall. Big crowd. Maud Montgomery McDonald
