29 22A. Still snowing in the morning but stopped by noon and the men out breaking roads in afternoon. Ham here for memorial service over the radio. Annie Lowther over in afternoon.

30 20A. Not a bad day but a chill wind and cloudy. Ernest shoveling snow in the morning. Good to get the mail. Letter for Waine from a girl in New Zealand. Annie not extra good to day. Sox social In New Glasgow. Girls took Laddie and went.
31 15A. Not too bad a day. Snowing a little nearly all day. Went down to Alecs for the day. May very miserable. YPS at Willie Toombs. Girls did not go. Snowing quite thick.

Feb 1 6A and blowing a gale. Cold day. Girls helped thrash in afternoon. Piecing a quilt, wedding ring, and knitting etc. Blowing hard to-night but 14A at dark.
2 4A here and 5B at Chester Woolners. Blowing and drifting. Made a plum pudding. Bitter cold at night. No Church.
3 2B AM and still blowing and drifting. Calmer tonight. Girls have gone over to Jerrys. Nothing special doing.
4 10A. Lovely day. Girls washed. Clouded up in afternoon. Hester and Mr Paterson here in afternoon. Got clothes dried. Blowing chill from SE at night. Went over to John Fs.

6 our ice. Social at Charlie Wyands. Perley phoned at supper time that Ray was very ill and half past eight of his death.

9 All went to United Church in AM. Girls went to Lems to hear radio in afternoon. Robbie out tonight. Just a swell day. Ray McNeill’s funeral Kentsford Cemetery.
