13 30A. Fine day. Edward did the work. Dad and Ham got home about 7:30 pretty chilly. Mrs Wright funeral this afternoon. Lorraine still in Carleton. Telephone won’t ring.
14 Dad pretty badly crippled. Glad Anita is home. Lovely day but cold night. Ham here all afternoon. Institute at Wyands. Nan & PJ went.
15 6A. Lovely day. Not feeling very good. Slept all the morning. Moderated in the day and was 20 above this evening. Sadie Johnston and Ernie McLure married at Manse. Anita & Pauline went to charivari. Shower at Preston’s for Bruce Ferguson.

16 Raining some, settled snow. Turned colder at night and blowing a gale. Ernest a little better. Jerry and Anna over this evening. Cold to-night.
17 15A. Blowing and drifting but the sun shining. Got letter from Marion and wee Pat has a tooth. Marion sent some snaps of her ladyship. Cold night, girls went with Edward to YPS at Harry McKenzies.
18 Zero for the first time this morning. Not much news and not much doing. Lorraine still in Carleton. Letter from Aunt Sadie and my quilt patches came. David here splitting wood. Pretty cold but moderated. Edward here most of day. No news.

19 ward had Laddie for the evening. Came up a storm and
20 he didn’t get back until Monday afternoon. Bobbie came. The stormiest day we have had and quite cold to-night and blowing hard. King George V died at Sandringham and a nation mourns. Edward VIII the new King and there is no Prince of Wales. Still blowing a gale.

21 10A. and still cold but clear and fine. Freds brought Annie Earl down this afternoon and told us of the King’s death. Annie pretty frail. Girls washed and went over to Austin’s in evening.
22 Fine and not so cold. Anita & PJ went down to see May Alec in afternoon. She hurt her side the night of the shower. Bernice Ferguson & Grant McLeod married.
23 Wind South east not much frost, snowing a little most of day and about 4 PM the wind shifted to SW and we had a real blizzard. Cutting out quilt patches.
24 4B and blowing a gale all day. In bed with sore back. YPS at Austins. Letter from Marion.
25 Zero in Am and 15A at night. No news. Guy Rollings baby sick. Choir practice at night at Wyands. Letters from Waine & Myron.
26 14A. Nice day. United Church in afternoon and memorial service 23A at night. Milder to-night. Got down stairs.
27 20-24 Above. Lovely day all day. Girls washed and in afternoon Anita went up to Don Lamonts. Started to blow about 10 o’clock
28th and a howling snow storm all day long. The worst of the winter so far. King George V funeral to day at Windsor. The service was broadcast. Got up this evening. Harold Toombs have a new daughter.
