11 Poured rain until 3.30 PM. Cutting sets. Reg McNeill came down from O’Leary. Glad to get some help. Girls set out hundreds of plants in garden. Ernest working at hardwood floor in big room. Institute at Fenners.

12 Blowing a gale but fine. Lorne Bulman and Reg helping Dad to-day. Finished planting garden stuff. Nan and I into store this evening and called at Ellice’s. Bonnell family arrived in Cavendish today. Bruce Scott came with Mrs. B.
13 Lovely day. Everyone busy. Ernest at room floor. French River play. Six Wives on the Rampage. Made $26.14 at door. Richard Simpson buried at Kensington.

14 Lovely day. Thundered but very little rain here. YPS at hall tonight. Reuel spoke. Good crowd. Anita went to Brackley with Emily and a Mr. McCallum. Regular twister in Kinkora. Hail.
S. Side High school burned
15 Glorious rain nearly all day. Set out cabbage, cauliflower and tomato etc & Reg and Lorraine got nice mess of trout for dinner. Elmer Fyfe here in evening. Big fire in S. Side last night. Geo Hooper buried to-day. May Alexs brother.
16 Lovely day. Quiet until about 4 PM when Keith and Margaret and Ina and Arthur arrived. Isobel Ramsay called too in afternoon. U. Church at night. Ina gaining a little. Tommy Hiscott taken to hospital.
Lots of letters lately enquiring about board.
17 Rained nearly all day and cool to-night. Ernest & Reg scraped room floor and girls got room cleaned and floor hall shellaced. Over to H. River with Mrs. Bonnell.
18 Very cold all day. Don Lamont planted our potatoes. Washed, etc. Everyone busy. New fencing. Play in French River to-night. Likely the last.

19 Heavy frost this morning. Still working at floor. Finished cleaning my room. New fencing. Ernest went to Rustico and I went to see May Alex.
20 Fine in morning but rained hard all afternoon and tonight. Busy fixing up the two big rooms. Baking. Anita went to Mayfield to Institute Convention & Arthur came up for Lorraine and brought Sambo. Stayed all night, cold rain.
21 Very heavy thunder storm this morning. Miss Gordon arrived in the middle of it. She is very pale and thin. Ernest at church this afternoon. YPS at Rustico Church. Reg Webb and Avalah up.
22 Lovely early but rained part of day. Jean Casely came on the bus this morning and Alice Gordon went back this evening. Choir practice here to-night.
23 Heavy rain in night and early this AM but a lovely day. B. Church in afternoon. Georgie Reid and Miss Austin here for supper. Got their car into a mud hole in Lover’s Lane.
