24 Raining most of day. Turned colder at night. Adelaide Clarke had a stroke Monday and is pretty poorly. Marion Moffat very low.
25 5B. Bitter cold, blowing hard. Wyand boys helping Ernest with ice. YPS at Olaf Stevensons. Emily came down and went with Lorraine & PJ to group. Letter from Peggy. Marion Moffat died this morning.

26 Still bitter cold. Wind S.E. Ernest at ice. Very chill day and snow flurries. Wind shifted to S. West still very frosty.
27 S. Fierce headache, cold morning and all day. Dad went with Jerry to funeral at New Glasgow. UC at night. Girls went. Mabel Simpson here for supper.
28 17B. Ernest went to Emerald for Anita, got home at 12.45 Good road. Wyand boys came after dinner to go at ice. Very cold but calm.

29 Cold south east wind. Ernest at Cemetery in morning and to store in afternoon. Snow storm at night. Dance at Olaf Stevensons. In bed all day.
30 10B. Very cold and drifting. Jerry & Dad went to funeral. Ben Woolner & Mrs Woolner got this far. Road very heavy. Very cold night.
31 13B. Pretty snappy but not drifting. Men at ice. Girls hooking and me doing odd jobs. Girls gone to choir practice at Wyands. 18B at Stanley to-night.
Feb 1935
1 Fine day. Very frosty all day. YPS at Jerrys at night. Ernest helping Wyands at ice. Anita hooking.
2 Milder but very chill wind. Men finished ice. CGIT meeting in afternoon. Emily over to get her paper signed. Letters from Marion & Aunt Sadie.
3 S. Grey day. Very little frost. Baptist church in afternoon Mr. Quigley, Everett Gass, Robbie Toombs, Thelma here to supper. Sing song at Jerrys to-night.
4 Mild day. Anita and Waine went to Hunter River to Dentist. Waine got five teeth out. John Toombs was taken to Hospital this afternoon. Snowing a little this afternoon and colder to-night.
5 Cold and drifting all day. Anita washed but didn’t put all the clothes out. Lorraine feeling better to-night.
6 14B. Lovely fine day but very frosty. Went over to Ellices in afternoon. Tired at night. YPS debate committee here.
New Girl at Ced Simpsons
7 Very frosty night again and another clear bright day. Nan put in a kitchen mat. Ernest & I went down to Roy Toombs and to Mrs Hammond McKenzie to tea. Choir practice at Bob McKenzies.
8 Lovely day. Quite frosty in AM but moderated. Canning chicken. YPS at Manse. Lorraine out to tea with Mrs Paterson. Letters from Margaret & Marion.
