3 weekend. Ham on the warpath for his gate that the young fry hid Weds. night. Austin brought load of turnips.
4 Lovely fine Sunday for a change.

Mother went to town with Reuel. Miss Stewart & Emily here YP tonight. Poor crowd.
5 Perfect day. Lorraine got home 4.30AM. Dad ploughing. L & I to see the twins and into store. Got Eaton order, also barrel of apples from Murray. Laddie choked tonight. Fenner & Don down.
6 Desperate rain, nothing doing.
7 Dad ploughing. L & I went to Harolds and took Miss Stewart to social at Mary Wells. New boy at Olafs. Robert Webster Stevenson.
8 Dad finished ploughing, washed & finished star quilt. Mayfield boys out to practice. [handwriting back to MW] Me in town with 103 temperature at Enid’s. Had a lovely visit with Artie at the farm but quite sick at night. Lovely day.

9 Feeling better and got home Erin McNeills in afternoon and mighty thankful to get. Lovely day but poured rain at night. John Bulman here helping Ernest in woods. YPS at Jerrys.
10 Showery rain and snow. Colder. Men hauling out wood. Thrashing a little and hauling wood. CGIT.

Little snow fell the 11th but was all gone by night.
11 church in afternoon. Robbie Toombs here for supper and evening. Memorial Services everywhere.
12 Rained and misty all day. Cleared up at night Anita & Waine went over to Austins. Dad to Mayfield to committee meeting. Cora Toombs has pleurisy.
13 Finer and colder again. Ernest sawing wood. Had Anna and John Bulman here. Got wood inside. Started banking. Practice here to-night.
14 Snowing quite thick about 4 inches fell. Ernest & John banking house. Mending coats all day and cutting patches in evening. Cora Toombs not doing very well.

15 Nice fine day. Girls washed. Letters from Miss Moore Alvin, Mrs. Spence and Keith. Men in wood.
16 Lovely fine day. Ernest and John cleaning up the dry wood in the bush near house. YPS at Ben Woolners. Girls didn’t go. Lovely long letter from Marion.
17 Lovely morning, not very cold and the little snow we had is about gone. Sawed up a lot of dry hardwood. Girls helped. Making nightgowns and P J making pyjamas. Emily and Elmore McKay here this evening. Roads very muddy to-night. Mr & Mrs. Paterson returned from N.G.
18 North east wind and not cold. Quiet day until the kids arrived from Carleton just before supper. Emily here. U. Church in AM. Froze at night. Wrote to Lottie Simpson.
19 Fine this morning. Anita helped thrash and took Emily up. Started raining about noon and kept.
