9 Horrid day. Washed, picked potatoes after harrows. Started stone path. Over to Jerrys at night. Sent for my coat.
10th Same weather. Dad helped Austin finish his potatoes. Worked at star quilt. Annie & Foster here to-night.
11 Finer and warmer. At Keiths. Worked hard at potatoes. Got mangles in on both places.
16th Dad & Jack Stewart came down for a load of mangles and brought a sow down for Keith. I came
21st home on the 21st and Lorraine went down to help a little with turnips. Arthur brought K & Margaret up too. Ellice and Austin went to Carleton.
22 Cloudy and showery. Mr. Gillis of the live stock marketing board spoke in the hall on Cooperation. Not many there. Anita at Manse in afternoon working on a heavy quilt to send west.
23 Finer. Anita washed. Miss Stavert here to tea and for evening. Some flowers still blooming.
24 Fine, not very cold. Anna, Mary Graham and Annie Moore here in afternoon making quilt for West. Anita and Emily Stewart drove to James L. LePages to a social.
25 Fine but cloudy all day. Ernest at turnips. Institute at J M McCoubreys. No news. Walked down to see Ellice in evening. All in when I got back.

26 Raining all day and quite foggy. Mr. Paterson took Anita to Rustico to YPS but no one there. Mending all day. P J not feeling well.
27 Ernest ploughing all day but its pouring rain tonight. Nice quiet evening. Ernest reading, the rest crocheting and knitting.
28 Colder and blowing hard. Reuels called in afternoon. Baptist church at night. Frost.
29 Quite cold in morning and blowing hard. Ernest and Anita dug the dahlias in AM. Ernest ploughing. Busy at little odd jobs. Went down to Lorne McNeills in evening.
30 Lovely day. Washed. Heavy shower at noon but cleared up and not cold. Ernest ploughing. Anna and Jerry over in the evening, Edward here.
31 Lovely fine day. Ernest ploughing field across the lane. Went up to Gertrude Lamont’s in afternoon, called to see the twins, and spent the evening at Mr. Greens. Kids at Jerry’s in evening.
November 1 Pretty rough day, rained hard and blew from S. East. Sewing and mending. Nice long letter from Marion.
2 Fine and colder. YPS at James L LePages. Girls went with Mr Paterson. Big dance at Leta Blair’s. Was Anita cross when she came home?
