young peoples service. Mrs Young & Miss Gooden sang. Everyone weary. Sing song at Webbs.
27 Lovely day. Started pickling. Mrs. Bulman finished Marions sewing. Very tired. Went to New Glasgow with Mrs Bulman and to Rustico for Emily Stewart. Myron took us.
28 Fine but cool wind. Very busy. Marion making house dresses. Had the Brintons and Fergusons up for the evening and Mr. McDavid. Pauline and Walter both here.
29 North east wind but no rain. Roy Toombs up tonight until midnight. Garden a mass of bloom. Ernest started cutting our grain.
30 Mr & Mrs Spence left this AM. Rather a cool day. Cutting grain.
31 Terrific gale with showers. No serious damage done. Flowers battered a little. Jack Webster and Billy Prowse out for the night to go shooting.
Sept 1 Miss Gooden and Mr. Young left. The last of our summer people. Willard Caseley and party called in afternoon. Ernest and I went to shore at night.
2 Fine and warm. Alvin Hattie and Miriam arrived. Reuel & Enid and Elaine etc and Dr. Don McNeil and family here in afternoon

2 Baptist Church at night and Ben Woolners in for sing song after. Tired?
3 Labor day. Gang went to Town in afternoon Billy Prowse & Mr. Webster here for breakfast and dinner. Girls got home about 10.30 tired and happy. Hattie staying for week.
4 Lovely day, did quite a washing. Dad and I went to Harolds in evening settled up with him.
5 Blowing a terrific gale all day. Washed again. Went in to Wyands at night and settled with them. Got cauliflower for pickling
6 Lovely day, very fine. Had a busy day. Dan McKinley and his daughters called in afternoon. Miss Wilkinson and Mr AH Hart Davies here for dinner. Girls went to Rustico to visit Ruth Matheson.
7 Very fine and very dry. Hauling in grain. Getting cuc’s ready for pickles. Jerry over in evening. YPS at church.
8 Still fine. Finished hauling grain that is out. Pauline picking hazel nuts at Jerry’s. Painted kitchen and finished enameling the chairs. Everybody all in
9 Lovely day, very warm and dry. Alvin brought Dorothy McKendrick down. Charles McFarlane and Arthur up. Mr Archibald preached.
