10  very tiresome. Heavy thunderstorm at night YPS at Mrs. Hammond McKenzies. Feel very sore. Marion & Anita went to town with Mr. Hayden.

 

11  Pretty busy day. Everybody kept moving. Mr and Mrs Spense from Ottawa arrived to-night.

 

12  Lovely day. Marion went to Tryon with Myron and Elaine. Had busy day. About ten came in this afternoon. Dr Norman McNeill of Sussex and Dr. Donald McN called. Mr. Bishop preached in United Church at night.

 

13  Lovely day, quite cool. Very busy. Canned nine qt bottles of beans. Baked. Churned etc and washed dishes in between. Jerry Simpson house caught fire and about 200 people gathered there in a short time. They got it out before any serious damage was done.

 

14  Lovely day. Washed. Very busy. Mr. Hayden took us for a drive in evening.

 

15  Baked ironed etc. Winnie Keith Starratt[?] of Moncton and her niece arrived here to-day. Had Mr & Mrs Bishop here to tea. Institute tonight at Mrs Chester Woolners.

 

16  Mr. Dick left. Just a busy day like all the rest. Margaret scalded herself while getting breakfast for the Bishops. Mother down there.

Tragedy at Hopedale on 18th. A Mr McPherson killed by manure spreader and the father died of shock

 

17  the Haydens left this AM. Rosie here and very busy. YPS at shore.

 

18  Terrible gale and girls went to Town with Mrs. Bonnell. YPS gave a bean supper to 57 poor city kiddies. Mr Young and Miss Gooden came. Mr & Mrs Gillings went away.

 

19  Very warm. Easier today. Very tired. Baptist church in afternoon. Went down to shore after Church. Pauline went with Myron to Tryon or to Keiths rather. Alvin drove.

 

20  Washed. Busy. Blowing hard.

 

21  Canned beans to day. Down at shore with Elaine in afternoon. Mother there too. Big crowd tourists here at night. Eight extra.

 

22  Washed again. Lovely day. Lorraine and Dad went to Town to Exhibition. Every one tired at night.

 

23  Rained hard in morning and a big squall in afternoon.

 

24  Mrs Bonnell took me into Town with her. A perfect day. Jacques Cartier celebration. Mrs. Bonnell starting on her journey west. Will meet Mr. B in New York. Emily Stewart here to-night. Gang has gone to YPS in Rustico Church.

 

25  Busy day. Emily Stewart here. Myron had two trips to Emerald for the Fergusons & Mr. McDavid.

 

26  Lovely day. Pauline LePage arrived. One of Mrs. Wyands cottages burned down after the
