July 1933
14 Dad and I went to Town on Bus. Very warm and very tired. Myron and Elaine and two kiddies down.
15 Warm and busy. Earl here shingling. Dorothy Russel came.
16 Hot day, no rain. No company. Lobster for supper.
17 Mist in morning. Earl here after dinner. Mr Higgs and party here for supper. Girls went to shore for a dip.
18 Very hot day indeed and so dry. Blew hard. Girls did a whale of a washing. CGIT meeting at shore. A good deal of company and extras. Hall meeting. Every one very tired.
19 Very hot all day. Ernest helping Ham with hay. Doris Stirling and Winnifred Wright in this evening. Dr & Mrs Williams of Montreal here in evening.
20 Lovely day but terribly dry. Anita and Dorothy went to Town with Lemmie. A lot of company or cars in to-day. 6 extra for supper.
21 Busy day. Picnic supper at beach. Mr & Mrs Carse and Jimmy came at night. Lemmie took us to Creek at night got supply of extra dishes.
22 Busy as usual. Mrs Carse sang in Baptist Church. Alvin came down. Rained at night.
23, 24, 25, 26. All hot and dry and very busy.
27 Papered my bedroom. Have ten boarders. Dorothy Russel, Pauline and I were picking raspberries. Raining
27 a little to-night. Ernest got our carriage home.
28 Very busy. Have a lot of people coming and going. YPS at shore. Weaner roast. Heavy thunderstorm at night and the girls didn’t sleep much at Cottage. Jamie & Everett at shore in camp.
29 Miss Colbourne[?] and Kellie came. Lovely girls. Ernest and I went to Rustico at night. Everybody tired. A lot of people around.
30 Mrs Carse sang in U. Church in morning and New Glasgow at night. Ernest & I went to shore. Enid & Reuel out again to their cottage.
31 Lovely day, not too hot. Very dry. Ernest taking in hay. Girls washed and I picked raspberries in afternoon. Anita not feeling very well.

Very hot and dry all through August.
2 Went out fishing with Mr & Mrs Irwin. Mr & Mrs Timmins Mr and Mrs Carse Adele & Jimmy and Misses Kellie and Cobourne & Lorraine. Had a rough passage but enjoyed it immensely. Had several campfires at shore.
9th The Cavendish United Church Tea and everybody but Miss Carrie Norris went. Pretty big crowd and a lovely day.
