8 Poured rain at night.
9 Sun. No preaching. Hannah McKenzie Orr very sick with flu. Keith Anita and Margaret went to New Glasgow by way of Rustico. Marion in bed all day.
10 Fine. Got word that Hannah has a baby boy. Went down to Alex in evening and called at Greens and Alvahs. Very tired and sore to-night.
Miller Orrs baby born and died
11 Just a glorious spring day, but roads are very bad. The Community called on John F. and Mrs McNeill this afternoon and gave Mrs McNeill a bouquet of carnations. Hannahs little baby buried this afternoon, and Hannah very low with pneumonia.

12 Poured rain most of last night but lovely day to-day. Brook high. Ernest and Keith out breaking roads Fields bare and roads bad. Very spring like. Have had very little ice in Gulf this winter. All clear and blue now. In bed all day to-day. Letter from Aunt Sadie. Pouring rain again to-night.
13 Snow disappeared a lot in night. Hannah a little bit better this morning and holding her own to-day. Bob McKenzie got home from Hospital. Roads very bad.
14 Pauline birthday. Very cold and blowing

14 hard. Young People here at night. 25 here. Not feeling very well. Girls hooking little mat.

15 Hannah McKenzie Orr died this afternoon. Four little motherless boys left. Nelson Orr quite sick with flu. Miserable cold wind.

16 Fine but still quite cold. Keith put eggs in incubator. Miss Stevenson here last night. Church in afternoon. Annie Lowther here for supper. Bible Class here at night. Ernest went down to Hammond McKenzies.
17 Fine day. Ernest and Jerry went to funeral. Very large. Roads very rough. Keith and Marion at play. Practice at Mr Bishops.
18 Fine day. Girls washed. Finished little mat. Marion at Manse to tea and practice. Elmer came down on horse back. Snowing at night. Shareholders meeting of Hall Company.
19 Nasty in morning but fine in evening. Roads bad. Institute here at night. Not many here but had a fairly good meeting. Tired?
20 Everybody rather tired. Men at woods.
21 Blowing and cold. Roads half bare and the other half too much snow. YP met at Robinsons. The “Reds” won the contest. Hall meeting of directors [?]
22 8A. Still cold. Got mat bound and in frames and made apron. Mable Simpson here all night.
