4 Mr & Mrs Wyand here in evening practicing for Institute. Miss McVane & Anna over.
5 12A. Fine but very cold. Ernest and Anita went to town. Not feeling very well.
6 In bed all day. Ernest went to Hunter River for stove for school and for books from Maud. Got 50 new books and a host of magazines. The Lowther Kiddies over. Young Peoples at Willie Robinsons and the girls nearly froze coming home. Uncle Hugh McLure died at noon.

7 Snowed. Ernest put up school stove. I stayed in bed.
8 Got up at noon. Still snowing and cold. Ernest went to church and funeral in afternoon with Jerry.
9 Girls washed but too dirty to hang out clothes. Ernest & K. picking chickens and killed little pig. Bitter cold.

10 Cold and blowing and drifting. John Houston Mayfield died yesterday. Finished chickens. Cecil went to town. Institute at Leigh Warrens. Didn’t go, too cold.
11 Stormy weather for two weeks. The men in the woods.
Ed Grahams new boy arrived the 13th or 14th
12 Took sick this morning, congestion of liver. Very sick for six days. Then got a little easier. Had doctor down twice on the 15th and 17th. Very rough, stormy weather. Very cold some days. Moved me into the west spare room.
13 Bay View Institute had a bazaar and program in the hall. The family all went but Dad and I. Killed beef on the 16th and canned chickens. Got a 4 lb box of chocolates from the girls in Windsor Ontario. Keith took Margaret and Annie to Town on the 21st.
21st Drive in pretty cold at night but a good road. Reuel LePage operated on for appendicitis on the 19th. Getting along alright.
22 8A. Mr Armstrong came over in afternoon but the church wasn’t prepared. Very cold day. United Church preaching at night. Elmer down. Blowing very hard.
23 Ernest went to town in AM. Irene Wyand went with him. Moderated in the day. Not feeling very well but able to be up.
24 Grey day and raining this afternoon. Keith and Anita went to Creek. Marion over at
