24  Jerrys packing some Christmas baskets for the Institute. Got a lot of mail to-day. The girls over to Jerrys to-night.

 

25  Lovely day. The Bay View folks down and Ham and Mack here for dinner. The Fyfe boys. Eric Bell. Robbie Toombs. The Wyand young fry and Lowther girls here in evening. Everyone very tired but had a good day. Santa very good to all. Ernest & I drove down to Mrs Alberts in afternoon. Lowthers & us skating in PM.

 

26  Lovely bright day and not cold. Ernest working on telephone line with Clarence Stewart. Keith took me over to Austins in afternoon. Got long letter from Maud telling of Mr McDonald’s accident in electric car. Heard about George Clarke being blamed for Eva Purseys trouble. Cost Fred $850.00

 

27  Stormy. Not feeling well at all but kept up. Young Peoples at EC LePage’s. Our bunch didn’t go.

 

28  Feeling very miserable, should have been in bed. Kids went to rink in New Glasgow

 

29  Stayed in bed till evening. Side sore. No preaching in place or at all.

30  Gertrude Clarke has another daughter. Quite a stormy morning but brightened up in afternoon. Been an awful time this last month to get washing done or dried rather.

 

31  Heavy silver thaw again. Rained and froze. Telephone line all smashed to bits again. Jerrys over this evening. Still in bed.
