17 in evening. Annie over. Mrs Austin Laird in bed again. Mr Bishops and Peter got home last night. Ernest working at church.
18 Lovely morning but clouded over cool. B. Church in afternoon. Wedlocks over from Hunter River. Wilbur Willis and Mr Bishops in after church. Girl over to John F’s in evening.

19 Showery in AM. Cleared up lovely in evening. Feeling rotten to-day. High fever. Ernest at Church in afternoon working at cement.
20 Lovely fall day, bright and cool. Marion scalded her foot. Ernest & Pauline went to Hunter River this afternoon. New Glasgow YPS at Wyands. Four girls went. Keith & Margaret and Irving McKee and Jerry and Anna here this evening.
21 Lovely morning early. Heavy white frost. Raining hard by night and all night. Marion & Anna in to Harolds and to see Malcom. He is quite sick.
First frost
22 Miserable day, cold and wet. Ernest went to see Mac this afternoon and he and Anita went to Institute to-night at Dolph Flemings. Dr Fleming have a new baby.
23 Marion feeling pretty mean. YPS at Church. Feeling better again. Ernest at mangles. Finished them. Had 4 bus beets and 3 carrots. Lorraine went home with Gertrude.
24 Fine day, not cold. Marion in bed most of day. Felt more like living.
25 Fine. Preaching at night. Dr Claude down Campsir[?] and Roy Toombs in this afternoon.
26 Poured rain half night and all day. No school. Mr. Green here this evening.
27 Gertrude and Lorraine got home this AM. Still raining. Roads pretty wet. Killed pig for selves. Mr Quigley here for tea. Letter from Lottie Simpson.
28 Girls washed. Ernest cut up little porker. Rained again this evening. Anna & Jerry over. In bed again.
29 Clothes fairly dry. Feeling rotten. Poured rain again at night.
30 Rained most of day. YPS in church at night. Election of officers and Halloween social.
31 Ernest helped Jerry with stoves in church. Then worked at turnips. Mr & Mrs Bishop in in evening also Halloween hobos. No sleep this night.
