30 Lovely morning. Wm Hogan to be buried this AM. Started Hams potatoes. PJ helping all day. Waine at it in afternoon. Reg Webb & Don[?] McKee out.
Oct 1st Another fine day, wind SW. Have had so much East wind this fall. Potatoes again. In bed all day.
2 Reading Mauds new book The Tangled Webb.
3 Lovely day Albert came up in afternoon. Everybody busy. Tired at night.
4 Lovely day. Alvin & Hattie Webb Lulu Duncan[?] and Anita arrived before dinner. Reuels came out in afternoon and I went back to Town with them. Pretty tired.
5 Finished potatoes and cranberries to-day and washed. Kept pretty quiet. Governer Bessborough in Town to-day. Lovely weather for it.
6 Harrowed potatoes and picked beans here. Went to a show. “Daddy Long Legs.” Twas good.
7 Jamie & Everett Wedlock here. Brought us some apples. Reuel took me over to Gordons, stayed all night. Cold at night.
8 Dr Frank took me into Town again and by four o’clock I was in bed for the night.
9 Pretty smart to-day. Had walk in AM and picked a bouquet of flowers for Enid. Up Town in afternoon and through Canadian National Hotel in evening. Pretty sick all night with pain in my stomach.

10 Lovely day. Reuel brought me out this morning and have been on the couch all day. Well doped with morphine. Girls getting ready for Rally Service tomorrow.

11 Mother a wee bit better in AM. Very sick at night. A glorious day. Rally practice in AM and service at night. Margaret over in PM.
12 Mother quiet sick all day. Not doing much. Lorraine & Anita at Austins to Thanksgiving party. Watkins man here for the night.

13 Fine. School started again. Lorraine and PJ on the job. Hilda brought Gertrude up. Dad went to Stanley for morphine. May Clark down for a music lesson. Cold.
14 Lovely day. Girls had tremendous washing. Ham here for dinner. Letter from Mrs Pankey. Keith out at night. Pretty sick.
15 Fine all day. Pretty dopey. Art Henry & Ella here in afternoon. Chicken supper at Hall for Orange men.
