Margaret up to Mrs Bens to Institute. Very foggy. Lorraine home with cold.

Lorne & Mary

 

18  Grand day. Planted flowers at school and went to Mr Bs in afternoon. Mother took a nervous chill followed by an attack of acute indigestion. Dr here Russel & Pearl Lockerby here to supper. Marion better or rather shes up.

 

19  Fine. Dad shingled the reading room. Mother slept almost all day. Anne here in afternoon. Album[?] here rolling. YPS in the church at night.

Uncle Gordon Reggie & Keith came out from Town. Heavy thunderstorm. Garfield LePages store burned.

 

20  Fine very hot. Feeling pretty weak. Ellice here all day. Got out on couch for a little while. Stephen Marshall up. Brought some lobsters.

 

21  Lovely fine day. Mother came down before church and Perley Daisy Miriam Raynell Roy & Jean McNeill down. Lorraine & Marion quite sick. Quite a crowd at shore. A new restaurant started.

 

22  Marion very sick to-day. Have the Dr over this evening. All the familys on the blink to-day except Pauline.

23  Fine but blowing cold wind. Marion very sick all day. Had Dr at night. Clam bake at shore and special meeting of YPS. Got dressed but stayed upstairs. Have a little cold to-night.

 

24  Fine but wretched cold. Mr and Mrs. Quigley here for tea and a Mrs Davis came to board for three weeks. Jerry and Anna over in evening. Play at hall put on by the Clyde River Dramatics. The Absent Minded Bridegroom. Feeling rotten. Marion better.

 

25  Lovely day and warmer. Almost frost this AM. Got out again to-day. Gertrude Ackland here.

 

26  Cloudy and damp but no rain. Marion quite a little better to-day. Eva Simpson in this evening. Working at Anita’s voile dress.

 

27  Still dark. Coughed a lot to-day. Am tired to-night. Made biscuit and helped a wee bit. Gertrude Ackland has the school for the coming year. Keith came home.

 

28  Poured rain all day. Regular Nor East storm. Keith didn’t get back to Town. No preaching.

 

29  Still wet all day. School closed. Finished Anitas organdie dress. Ruth Webb came back with Margaret. Play at night in Hall by Traveler’s Rest crowd.

 

30  Fine. Young Peoples picnic. Marion & I
