Nov 7 Raining. Wind east. We have the lights on in the house tonight for which we are very thankful. Elton Woodside here with new radio on trial.
8 Fine. Light system complet except cable to store house which will come later. Maurice Bird came from Debert about 4 PM he and Pauline and I went to Keiths took them to Summerside in evening. Talking to Willie McKendrick by phone. Lizzie passed away this evening.

9 Cloudy and mild. Everett Wedlock Janie and Irean[?] here this AM. Maurice left 1:45 by taxi to fly back to Debert but called later to say plane was not going. Pauline sick bad teeth and touch of flu.
10 Mild. Partly cloudy. Pauline sick all day. Some better this evening. Mr Smith here to dinner. Bought new radio, $35.00 and old out fit. Raining tonight.
11 Pauline and I left for O’Leary, went by Hunter River picked up Gordon and Janie Wedlock. Called at Keiths, Pauline stayed and Anita came with us to O’Leary. A very large funeral and a very nice service conducted by Rev Mr Davis, burial at Knutsford. Got home 8 PM. Gordon stayed here.

Nov 12 Pauline took Gordon to Hunter River. Sent wire to Marion. Cora Toombs came to keep house for us. Heber went to Town, bought coal. Snow flurries but mild.
13 Pauline left for Toronto leaving the car with Anita road bad. Freezing tonight. I walked to Bay Heber met me. YPS here tonight. 10 here.
14 Froze hard. Tem 22, milder at noon. Putting in wood. Mr Smith here took Dodge Truck to Dalvay. Men hauling straw from Bay View to cover Greens. Raining this evening.
15 Fine. Maritime Electric men here putting up telephone line on light posts. Took down old line in afternoon. Heber went to Town in evening and Cora went home. I’m alone.

17 Blowing a gale, temp 26. Some snow flurries AM.
18 Fine and cold. Froze hard. Temp 24. Washed and got clothes nice and dry. Walked to the Bay in afternoon. Heber met me there. A lot of geese flying, not so many ducks in sight. Letter from Myrtle.
19 Cloudy, milder clearing at night. Splitting wood part of day. Men had a bit of a blaze in work shop
