Pierce McNeill Age 85 so paper says
20 20 above this AM and around 32 this evening. Been a pretty nice day. Ernest at Cemetery this AM. Made potted meat and finished putting on outside windows. YPS at Ernest McNeills.
21 Nice warm day, snow about gone in fields. Funeral in afternoon. Laura Bentley Shaw there. Haven’t seen her for a good many years. Carriages sleighs and cars at funeral. Dad went to Amandas in evening and squared up with her. Anita and Arthur came up.
22 38A. Lovely morning. Lorraine & Arthur went to store in AM Baptist Church in afternoon. Lowell, Edward and Norman McFarlane here in evening.
23 Poured rain in early morning and turned to snow and blowing hard. Cleared up in afternoon. In bed until noon. Ham over. No news.
24 16A. Not a bad day. Men in woods. Girls washed. Committee meeting here at night about Christmas program.
25 Lovely morning. Ernest hauling wood all day. Thawing and the little bit of snow is almost gone. Institute social at Jerrys to-night. Proceeds for Sanatorium.
26 Rained hard most of forenoon. Thrashed

26 in morning. Ready to saw wood. Ernest & I went over to Ern McNeill’s to hear the radio. Blowing a gale and drying up some.
50 above at noon and 36 at 10 PM.
27 Fine day. Men sawing wood. YPS at Webbs.
28 16. 10. A lovely day, pretty frosty. Ernest McNeills took us to Town. Couldn’t get any business done. Got a new brown hat and ordered a radio.
29 32A. Ground white but rained before noon. A lovely quiet day. Church United at night.
30 Killed chickens. Ellice over in afternoon. Nice day but cold wind. Holmans set up a radio for us.

Dec 1 Cold bleak wind all day. Girls washed. Getting my clothes gathered to-gether for my trip to Peggy.
2 Lovely day. Busy. Ernest went to town for gift for Herb Simpson. Social at the Manse. Mrs Wyand here all evening. We went to bed wrecks.

3 Pouring rain. Mother went to HR with Mary and Cyril. Terrible road and gale.
4 YPS at Manse. Cold and frosty.
5 Cold – Dad & James O., Helen & I went to HR with Milton. Committee (telephone) meeting here at night. Presented Herb Simpson with a club bag. Dorothy Toombs up. Arthur arrived about nine o’clock. K & M and kids went to Austins.
