Feb 1935 & March
25 Fine day and not quite so cold. Ernest & I went down to Bobs for the afternoon and to dance at Fred’s at night. Jennie quilting.
26 Snowed all day. Lorraine working at her ship’s quilt. No news. Colder at night.
27 Blowing and storming all day. Men broke the roads for Bobbie. Irving up in the evening and they had quite a hilarious time. Lorraine finished quilt.
28 Very very cold this morning. Washed a few things. Nan hooking yarn mat. Edward and Norman McFarlane over this evening. Just heard that Aunt Lydie is in the hospital.
March 1 5B. Very cold day but bright and sunny. Helping Nan hook some. YPS at Wesley’s. Reggie took the girls. Eric Bell down. Roads bad.
2 Milder today tho frosty to-night. Busy all day. Saturdays work. Play meeting at Jerrys.
3 S. Snowing in morning. Baptist preaching in afternoon. Colder to-night and blowing hard. David Johnson here in evening. Elaine visiting Marion & Murray this weekend.
4 Miserable cold day tho sunny. Drifting all day. Wind N.W. Marion’s letter came. Lorraine washed in AM. Ham here for supper.
5 Fine. Got clothes dried. Anna called in afternoon. Very chill at night and a light snow fall. Institute the postponed Feb. meeting at Mrs Wyands. Mrs Willie

5 Moffat very poorly. A tremendous lot of snow everywhere.
6 Cloudy and light feathery snow falling. Went over to Jerrys in afternoon and to manse at night to hear Mary Pickford on the radio. Very frosty.
7 Very frosty, clear and bright all day. Anita finished her mat. Arthur made a record trip from Carleton in 4 ½ hours. Choir practice at Wesley’s.
8 6B. Another perfectly fine day. Wind came around N E. Cold. YPS at Webb’s. Over thirty here. Busy day had treasure hunt so there was some stir. Very cold night.
10B & 20B at different places
9 15B at Wheatly River, 10B at Preston’s. Clear and not so windy. Keith phoned for Lorraine to go down with Arthur so they got away about 9.30. Everyone a little weary. Ernest & I went to Johnstons and the girls went to Rink.
10 S. Perfectly lovely day. U Church in AM. Emily here for dinner, she & Anita have gone to Freds to get the Sunday afternoon service from S. Side. Sing-song here at night.
11 Lovely day. Got Marion’s letter. Ernest & I went over to John Fs for the evening. Mild all day. Dance at Olaf’s.
12 Not so fine. Rained a good part of day. Anita washed and she & PJ went to Johnstons to a small party.
13 Put out clothes. Snowing and altogether dirty. Russell McLure very low. Mrs Moffat a little better. Finished piecing second wedding ring quilt. Nan and I spent the evening at Don Lamont’s.
