16  Fine. B. Church in afternoon. Girls went.

 

17  Marion washed. Anita better but Lorraine sick with tonsilitis. Feeling a little better. Woolner kids up in evening.

 

18  Lovely day. Went down to mail box in morning then lay in the sun for an hour and a half down in the hallow below road. Pretty good for November. Marion got a letter from Maud and has decided to go away Dec 4th.

 

19  Another wonderful day. Mrs Art Simpson died this morning. Went down to Mrs Alberts in afternoon.

20  Still fine and warm. The Brintons came up with their three small folks and Alice took Marion back with them. The girls over to the dentist to-day.

 

21  Another lovely day. Dad and Anita went to the funeral. Dad and I went to John F’s in evening. Not feeling well to-day and sick all night. Keith shipped his hogs to Town.

 

22  Cloudy but no rain. Ch Town is very short of water, reservoir dry. No rain for four weeks and a great many wells

22  wells dry. Sick all day. Keith went to Town with Bobby.

 

23  Just as fine as ever, more like Sept than November. Ellice came over in afternoon. The rest of family went to Church at night.

 

24  Lovely day. Marion came home from Tyron. Aunt Lydie, Ruth & Reggie brought Keith home from town.

 

25  Pouring rain in morning, cleared up and rained again at night. Mission Band Concert in Hall, very good but small crowd. All went but Keith, he had tooth ache.

 

26  Rather dirty day. Didn’t wash no soap. Dr Jenkins little boy killed, fell down cellar steps.

 

27  Just a glorious dirty day all day, rain and snow. Wind east. Cooler to-night. Girls washed. Side a little better to-night. Been mean for a week.

 

28  Fine but colder. Frost on windows this AM. Young Peoples at Paynters to-night. Amanda and George Robertson here and Ham. Ground covered with snow, some using sleighs.
