November & December 1930
29 Pretty cold. In bed most of the day with stomach. Girls ironing. Banquet at Mrs Bishop for Wide Awake Class and Marion. Had a handkerchief shower for Marion.
30 Dark day, milder and rained at night. Gertrude and the two kiddies came to tea. Also Arthur Woolner, Margaret, Doris Warren and Mary McLean. Headache all day and all in at night.
Dec 1st Poured rain all day. Marion washed. Keith and Dad cleaned. In bed all day. The Young People here at night for a little party for Marion.
2 Feeling better. Very cold blustery day. Blow hard. Elmer Fyfe came down in evening and got stuck in lane. Had a shovel and got out alright.
3 8A. Very cold but soon moderated. Dad went up for Mother. Had chickens and plum pudding. Mrs Wyand here in afternoon also Anna & Jerry and [?]. Marion and Keith went to Hunter River at night. Feeing pretty blue.
4 Marion started for Toronto. Lovely day. Mother here all night. Feeling better to-day.

5 Pretty fine day. Not very cold. Ernest and K. working in the woods. Anita not doing much to-day. Marion should be in Norval to-night. Perfect night. YPS at Wesley to-night. Perfect night, Keith Anita and Lorraine walked. Good car roads yet. Directors meeting of Hall Company in Hall to-night.
6 Fine day but cloudy all day. Milder. Ernest went to Hunter River for the box of books. Ham here this evening. Ed Graham. Anita & Lorraine at practice.
7 Grey day, but fine and mild. Went to church in AM. Very quiet day.
8 Still cloudy but mild. Anita washed Dad churned. Ernest to Mayfield. Heard that Mrs Joe Lambie Peters died this afternoon.

9 Fine day. Got clothes dried. Killed chickens. Paid Cecil in full all that we owe him.
10 Fine. Tried to get engine to work to saw wood but nothing doing. Ham here to dinner. Allen Moffat and Bob McKenzie and Everett Laird here in afternoon. Alex and May here for little time in evening. George Clark has got in trouble with two other fellows who tried to rob Harold Toombs, Bruce Callbeck and David [?]. Bad business.
