31 Fine day. Not very cold. Institute put on Halloween social in Hall. Made about $39.00. Everybody tired.
Nov 1 Fine. Ernest working at Turnips. Lovely day. Keith took Isobel to Town and came home that night.
2 Lovely day, but wind cool. Alvin Webb and and Alva Jelly came down from O’Leary. Preaching at night.
3 Fine. Washed. Marion not very spry. Took Lorraine, Miss Stevenson and Ethel W to Mayfield to school fair meeting.
4 Fine day, a regular pet. Mary Stevenson here to supper. Mrs McNeill and Lorne up for the evening.
5 Raining nearly all day. Eyes of Love Play was to have gone to Cornwall but didn’t. Roads pretty bad.
6 Showery came around cold and froze hard all night. Four girls killed by train.
7 Anita came home from York. Young Peoples Social at Webbs to-night about 65 here. Pretty tired after. Froze, cold.
8 Milder to-day. Ernest cleared up the garden. Lowther youngsters home for

Four girls killed near Town by train in a car. Two boys badly hurt. Doris Adams, Eleanor Stewart, Helen Higgens, and Isobel Bruce. Terribly sad affair.
8 Thanksgiving. Preston Warrens sister buried to-day. Mrs Everett Stevenson, sick for years with TB.
9 New church to be opened at Stanley to-day. Big crowds at the three services. The girls went up with Roy Stevenson at night. Lowther girls here to supper.
10 Cold and spits of snow. Girls washed, sewing in afternoon. Marion has decided to go to Maud for the winter anyway and perhaps to work.
11 Blew hard. Cloudy in bed and quite sick with sore throat.
12 Lovely day. Anna over in afternoon. Play crowd went to Cornwall with Eyes of Love. Brought home $30.50. Mother came down with me. Very sick all day.
13 Morton Williams died this AM. Ernest working at kitchen drain these days.

14 Fine and mild. Got up after dinner, but should have stayed in bed. Young Peoples at Robinsons.
