June 4th Walter Lamont & Margaret Campbell married. Baby boy arrived around Sept 12th
25 winter with bad roads for months. Road along here has been blocked for weeks. All roads through fields. I went with Stirlings to Bobs funeral. Eric Simpson taken to Hospital on 18th. Sixty or more men shoveled the road from Gillis pond to Creek. He has pneumonia in both lungs, is very sick. Its a winter wonderland this morning, about two inches of new snow and not a breath of wind. Can see water in the Gulf.
April 3 Still travelling through fields, this road is blocked and no sign of plough. The Gulf full of ice, a lot of north wind.
June 8th Work has been going on out this road for three weeks, widened out, trees cut down. Very wet spring and not near all the grain sowed yet have most of my garden in. Have had very little sunshine this spring.
July 3 Keiths have a baby girl, Anita Gwen.
Anita came home June 30th and stayed until july 28th. We had a grand time. Got the shingles on south end of house and a new roof on east side. Very dry summer but splendid for tourists.
July 28 Keiths started for Cavendish with the baby not four weeks old. Mrs Cromar came with them. They stayed eleven days. Pauline & Heber left to Toronto on Aug 16th and I had Larry until Sept 1st. He was such a dear little fellow.

Eric Simpson (Earls son) and Miss Cook married Sept 17th or 18th
Sept 18 Elmer Smith & June Bernard married in United Church Hunter River.
Oct 10th Harvey Macneills car struck Mr John Mobb in Brookfield and he was instantly killed. Mr Mobb was on wrong side of road. Harvey has been cleared of any blame. His father & mother in the States at the time. Helen Greens shower that night.
13 Milton Green threw a wrench in the back of his car and it struck the hammer of his loaded gun and the charge went through the door of car and through porch screen door and tore into wall just above Mays head. Several shots lodged in her body, one in back of neck near spine, one in hip, and others in her neck. She almost died of shock and Milton too. They took her to Hospital but she came home next day. 15 were married in the church. Helen is teaching in Hunter River this year.
Dec 4 Went into Town to spend winter with Pauline & Heber. Went into Hospital Jan 11 and got out the Jan 23rd. Enjoyed the winter and maybe helped Pauline some. Came out April 8th to Mrs Fred Clarkes funeral. A good road but much cooler here than in town. Quite foggy.
