23 40 above. Nothing much doing.
24 Temperature as high as 56 – raining in evening. Started to make a skirt for Ina.
25 Only 10 above – quite a drop. YP at Manse. Eric Simpson had car down. Mayfield road nearly all bare. Good bunch of boys at meeting. Mr Tilley has bad roads.
26 10 above. Fine. Spent afternoon at Ern McNeill’s. Bobbie Smith had wagon today.

March 3rd I got out of hospital and went to Enids. Got the cast on yesterday. Ernest came in for me
5 on Friday and it was mighty good to get home. Even if it did storm from New Glasgow home it wasn’t cold and wind was in our backs. Was pretty tired but managed to get upstairs to my own bed. Mary McN Lowther spent the afternoon with Lorraine.
6 Stayed in bed. Twas quite a cold day and plenty of snow around. Alfred and Annie up in evening.
7 Rained and thawed and a terrific push of water down the hollow. Got down stairs to-day. No church.
8 Lorraine getting her trunk packed. David out in evening. Mrs Profit here for a month.
9 Zero. Dad took Lorraine to Hunter River. She was going to Keiths for the night. Roads rough but icy. Mrs Darney Nesbett died. She was in the same semi-private room with me and very sick when I left the Hospital.

Had heavy snow storms in Ontario over weekend.
10 Nice day. Crocheting a centrepiece. Mrs Profit doing the work and Sue up and down. 11th Fine wind south.
12 Raining. Temp 46. Roads getting bare. Bobby has had a wagon the last two days. Ice in some places on roads.
13 Thawing a little. Finished my Star Dream centrepiece. Maple Leafs defeated Detroit Red Wings 3 to 1 in Toronto.
14 Pauline 23 to-day. A lovely spring like morning but its cloudy now and snowing a little. Temp 32. Ernest went to church this morning.
15 A very nice day and Mrs Profit and Dad got the wash out by 11 AM. Dad went to New Glasgow with the car battery. Took sleigh but wagons are running around here.
16 Not thawing to-day. Cold east wind. Eric Bell down this evening. Made ginger cookies in afternoon.

17 St. Patricks and snowing a little this AM but turned to pouring rain and this afternoon. Not feeling quite as spry to-day. Letter from Lorraine.
18 Snowed and rained and froze. Just a dirty day.
19 A lovely day snow almost gone and froze. Lewis and Ethel Toombs out this evening and Hazel over.
20 Snow flurries to-day and ground white again and the spruces beautiful. Everything shining. Floor waxed etc.
