9 Raining & snow all gone again. Usual Sat work and exams. Green girls and Mary here to organize Sewing club but couldn’t with so few. Arthur arrived about 10:00 PM just about all in. Terrible accident on pavement near HR. Capt McLean of Stanchel killed while putting chains on his truck and another truck rammed him between the bank & his truck. Girl killed in Clyde River. Arthur planning to leave for Chicago on 25th.
10 Sunday. 12A. Beautiful day but cold & blowing. Rather late getting up but all managed to get to U. Church. Arthur & I went to Roy Toombs’ in afternoon. Lowell here for the evening. Irene fair.
11 10A. Clear and cold. Neta went to HR with Arthur and from there was going to town – then to Hampshire. Nothing much doing – family rather small. Ham here in afternoon. Had supper without a lamp for the first.
12 Snowing in morning – fine snow. Wind southwest and not cold. Cleared in afternoon and a perfect evening. Dad & Pauline washed. PJ finished her knit skirt. Nothing much doing.
13 Beautiful day though a bit chill. Milton shot Donkey. Organized Sewing Club at school. Eaton order came. Home in evening. Rink in Stanley.

14 Chill wind but warmer rain in PM. Dad to mill this morning. Mabel over for some help with her knitting. Home in evening.
15 Pouring rain. Brook up around the bridge. Very foggy in afternoon. Arthur, Keith & Wilbert arrived about 3:45 and oh the mud! K & W were here only long enough for supper. Ham over in evening. We had one grand time learning to play ‘Monopoly’.
16 Snowing and cold. Overslept a bit & Ham caught us at breakfast at 9:00 AM & straightway went to Jerry’s with the news! What a man! Rather busy – Girls here to Sewing Club in afternoon but no leader. Played Monopoly all evening.
17 4A. Sunday. Clear and sunshiney. Snow has nearly all evaporated. Baptist service in afternoon. Good crowd out. Mr Q in for books. Ed over in evening. Harold Toombs’ have a new daughter.
18 Fine and mild in morning but quite cold in evening. Dad took Arthur to station and expected to bring Neta home but Cyril brought her down. She is some sight minus ten teeth. Home in evening and playing Monopoly.
19 Fine. Nothing much doing. Eric B. down in evening.
