Been terribly hot in Ontario.
16 Cold as Greenland all day. I washed a few things. Just the two girls here Miss Lamb & Lindsey. Busy and weary to-night.
17 Still cold. Just busy. Making pillow slips. Picked first raspberries. YPS at Charlie McKenzies. Letter from Peggy.
18 Lovely day. Had picnic supper at shore. Avalah here for supper and evening. Mr & Mrs Lucas and two children Kenneth & Margaret here for night. They are from Chatham Ont. Mr & Mrs Lang, Margarette & Howard arrived by late train.

19 S. Lovely day. Busy all day. Lots of cars around. Ella Champion & husband here. Roy Toombs and Billy Burns etc & Church at night. I kept little Jean maybe[?].
20 Lovely day. Anita and Dorothy went to Town and purchased a blanket for Upton & Ella from the group. Busy. Tired.
Miss Piers came
21 Lovely day, had Annie Earl washing and had a steady stream of cars all afternoon. Rev Cuthbert McLean, wife, and sister were here. Institute at Fenners. Hauling in hay.
22 Nice day quite warm. Ironed. Miss Jean Richardson & Mrs Belford here for night.
23 Perfect day, very warm but a breeze. Good hay weather. Ernest cutting &

23 coiling. Washed etc. Tired.
24 Lovely day blowing hard. Finished cutting hay. Have our big cottage occupied tonight. Mr & Mrs Thomas and two children so we have 11 over night. Went with Myron to pick berries.
25 Rained. Busy. Cleared up at night and Mrs Hayden & Peter and Miss Kellie came.
26 Nice day tho’ we had a shower at 8 AM. U Church in morning. Arthur up in afternoon with Stewarts. Busy.
27 I washed sheets etc. tired at night.
28 Annie Earl here washing. Showery in forenoon. Terrible hail storm about 6 PM. The worst we have ever seen. Lots of thunder and lightning. Family of McLennans here for night.

29 Dull, dark damp day – some sunshine in afternoon. Thunder & lightning in evening – Harpers over. Gang up to see Fred’s fox ranch. McLennan’s still here.
30 Cloudy morning but lovely afternoon & evening. Miss Piers, Lindsay & Waine to town. Mr & Mrs Valliant & Mr & Mrs Parry arrived at cottage.
31 Lovely day. Dad finished hay. YPS at shore. Helen here for the day. Tremendous washing.
