King Leopold III crowned King of Belgium on Friday Feb 24th

 

20  Ernest working at ice to-day. Finished and mailed Margarets sweater.

 

21  Lovely day. Ernest at ice. Marion put in her blue and sand quilt. Johnston family and Robbie here in the evening. Mary Graham sick.

 

22  Milder to-day. Quilting. Anita & PJ finished yarn mat. Letters from Lorraine Marion M & Dorothy. Choir practice to-night for YPS service. No school.

 

23  46A at noon to-day but colder to-night. Quilting to-day. Men at ice and here for dinner. YPS at George McCoubreys. Mary Graham very sick with flu.

 

24  6B. Very cold. Marion & PJ went to Lewis Toombs to CGIT meeting. Finished blue and sand quilt.

 

25  6B and blowing a gale from the west. Wind froze my nose in bed. No one went to church from here. Sing song at Mrs Hammond McKenzies at night. Willie Johnston took the girls.

 

26  6B in AM and very chill. Snow storm at night and no-easter to-night blowing hard and very cold. 8A to-night.

 

27  8A but still storming and drifiting in AM. Finer in afternoon and quite calm this evening and 14A. Roy Stevenson sick. Lots of people snowed up

28  Zero this morning but bright and sunny. Girls washed. Ham here for dinner. Practice for YPS Service here at night. Ernest & I went over to John F’s in evening. Pretty frosty but very fine.
