21 Fine but quite cool. Ernest working in garden. Keith plowing. I went over to Manse for afternoon. Everyone tired to-night. Pretty dry. No rain for sometime.
22 Sunday. Pouring rain all forenoon. No Sunday School. Great day to rest for everybody. Wind North east and cold. United Church to-night.
23 Cold day. Girls papered the South East bedroom. No school. Everybody tired at night. Ernest got strawberry plants from Wyands. Keith and Margaret got gaspereau at run. Planted early spuds. Fever.
24 Fine early. Wind cold. Earl here grafting trees. Alvin Rupert and Dorothy down and they and the three girls had quite a picnic. Mr & Mrs Quigley called.
25 Rained hard in forenoon. Marion went to O’Leary last night with Alvin etc. Anita and Dad washed. I got dinner. Planted another row of lettuce and weeded half the shallot bed. Mrs BC & Mrs Roy Woolner, Art Laura Johnson and Miriam here this evening.
26 Cloudy in AM. Poured for a while. Anita ironing. Ernest sowed mangles. Keith went to H. River to get his stove teeth fitted. Girls went to Wyand to practice. First fresh cod fish.
27 Cold as Greenland all day. Pouring to-night. Wind east. Have seven little goslins. Irene here
May 1932 & June
27 to supper. YPS at church to-night. Ernest working in garden. Up most of day. Got some lobsters.
28 Rained hard all night. Lorraine 15 years old to-day. Plum pudding. Ernest cutting sets. Mother down. Mission Band party at Church. Mr & Mrs Bishop called this evening.
29 Still very cold. Elmer Lizzie, isabelle and Arthur brought Marion home. Mr Quigley and Ella Wyand called. Feels like snow.
30 Clear and cold. Girls washed in AM and set out some dahlias in the evening. Jamie Wedlock over in afternoon. Stan Wedlock is dead. Fever
31 Warmer to-day. Wind SW. Ernest and James went to Hunter River. Up to-day but feeling pretty rotten. Ham here most of day. Girls painting kitchen ceiling. Tired.
June 1st Raining in forenoon. Keith caught an eel. Headache most of day. Men at various odd jobs. Keith Anita and Margaret went up to Prestons to-night and Gertrude and Lorraine to Ernest Clarkes.
2 Foggy most of day. Wind north. Girls sewing. I baked hard biscuits and German fingers. Ernest ploughing for Ham. Keith went to H. River for his teeth. Girls over to Austins to-night.
3 Fine. Keith sick. Ernest discing potatoes. YPS
