24 Lovely fine day. Ernest and Lorraine went to Brackley for eggs for incubator. Keith went for mud in AM and to H. River for Rupert McNeill in afternoon. Missionary Society Play and concert at night. Mr Quigley called in afternoon.
25 Fine. Ernest went to Hunter River for Alvin Webb. YPS at Wesleys. Tired at night.
Good Friday
26 Lovely day. Keith at mud, got thirty loads so far. Got a number of letters and cards. Ernest to see Mac he’s very poor. Mrs Austin very weak too. Three girls, and Alvin and Rupert went to Rustico and Ben Woolners to-night.
27 Kids got home at 12:45 AM, lovely and wet. Fine but mild, roads pretty soft. U Church in afternoon. Annie Lowther came from church. Mother down for the day. Margaret, Stirling, Lowell, Irene, Wilbur, Gertrude, Annie, Rupert, Alvin, and Jim here to-night. Sent my Easter lily over to the church.
28 Grey AM. Started to snow at noon, rained at night. Mission Band Concert postponed. Ernest took Alvin to Kensington. Girls and Rupert have had a strenuous day.
29 Keith took Margaret to H. River. Roads bad. Brook very high. Up most of day. Marion and Lorraine sick with flu. Mission Band Concert at night.
30 Colder, blustery in AM. Ernest took Rupert to H. River. Anita & Ernest did a washing in afternoon. Keith went up to McEwens for mud. Mrs Max Ferguson very sick. Elmer and Eric down at night.
March & April 1932
31 Fine. Lorriane and Marion quite sick with the flu. Keith went his last trip to Sou West for mud. Roads getting bad. Ernest stayed with Malcolm all night.
April 1 Rained and cloudy. Girls pretty miserable. I had fever in afternoon. Dad blue. No YPS.
2 Lovely day, quite spring like. Ernest hauling spuds from Tenniss’. Marion a little better. Lorraine still miserable. Up all day and did a few things to help. Gertrude in bed. Roads getting pretty bad but passable.
3 Fine, blowing hard and thawing. B. Church in afternoon. Fred & Hester and Martha Ling and Annie L called in afternoon. Girls pretty miserable.
4 Not a nice day and got nasty at night and blowing a gale. Dad and Anita straightening up back porch and attic. Finished piecing Anitas quilt. Fever.
5 Miserable day all day, snow rain and sleet. Ernest into Mayfield. Mac better. No mail.
6 Very heavy silver thaw. Keith sick with flu. Anita put in another mat. Marion up in afternoon. Dad got medicine from Dr for her. Up all day.
7 Still a miserable day and the ice still on trees. In bed all day. K. better. Fever. Malcolm died at 10 o’clock PM. Fever
