10th Have had a very busy week. Louise very poorly. Ernest & I were up to see her in Hospital. They took her home yesterday, she can’t get better. Two men killed in S. Side last week Fred Large and another [?]. Started cutting grain the 8th. Very dry all week but rained last night and is raining to-day. Have a lovely bunch of people. Everybody so friendly. Little pig arrived the 9th.
Had a very busy summer. For first two weeks of Aug, had 16 extra and had Miss Sargent until Sept 12th.
Aug 16 Louise died on August 16th. Ernest was up west for four days. Willie McK May and Belle were here one Saturday afternoon on their way home from Town. Alvin Webb and Miss Haywood were down on Sunday too. John R Robinson and wife were on from Chicago. Ernest and I went up west for a ten day visit on the 4th Sept. Had a nice time. Lizzie and John very miserable. Aunt
Mayme[?] Webb dying of cancer. We were to Tignish and Alberton. Called at Mrs Belle Champions. Blanche was married this summer to Mr Philips the Anglican minister at Alberton. They have a lovely home we called to see Rose Grey too for a little while. Were at Campbellton Arlington, Port Hill etc. Came home 14th. Been a very dry summer. Everything burnt up. Have no apples here at all this year. Got a nice lot of plums, imported.

Sept 14 Pouring rain all day. Lowther kids home to-day and over here. They are going to PWC. Just a little tired after our trip. Got a new coat for Lorraine and myself. Expecting Murray Laird and his friend any day now.
15 Girls washed. K. & Dad thrashed. Dark part of day but got clothes dry. Murray Laird and Chester Macdonald came about three o’clock. Pouring rain to-night.
16 Very warm all day. Four of the family and Murray & Chester went away driving
