1 Fine day. Pauline still quite sick. Men sawing wood. Hooking in afternoon. No news.
2 Raining most of day. Ernest went to Harolds in AM. Roads very bad. Pauline not much better and Ernest sick. Finished mat. (New calf Lucy)
3 Ground white this morning and stayed on all day though very little frost. Had Dr Fleming down for Pauline. She seemed better this evening. Ernest feels mean all day. Roads bad to-night.
4 Cold wind blowing hard all day. Got Pauline down to room in afternoon. Her temperature down in evening. First Valley Farm play practice at Jerrys.
5 Fine day but wind very cool. Perfect evening. Pauline quite better. “Love Wins Out” play practice here at night. Hooking all day. Tired. Marion pretty miserable. Shovelling road.

6 Lovely day. Robins here. No church. Had a walk in afternoon. Annie Lowther here for tea. Ellice over in evening. Bible class at Jerrys. Keiths chickens hatched.
7 Washed but it rained so didn’t get clothes dry. Simpson order came over. Everyone busy.
8 Fine early. Showery before noon. Fine in afternoon. Upton Smith has pneumonia. A lot of sickness all around. All better here.
9 Finished sawing wood. Painted wagon. Anna sick. Upton very sick. Hammond McKenzie here in afternoon. Hooking tired.
10 Ground white with snow in morning. Mostly gone by night. Ellice and Edward here for supper. Ellice helping hook. Ernest at Cecil’s thrashing. Set incubator for ourselves.

11 Fine but cool. Finished hooking and put a quilt in. Ernest & Pauline at Cecils this PM. Keith at Jerrys sawing wood. Bob and Jennie up this evening.
12 Fine. Keith went to Hunter River with load for Wesley. Ernest sawing at Jerrys when he should have been in bed. May & Alex up to night. Play practice here. Ernest sick. Upton very sick to-night.
13 Lovely day. Ernest in bed. Dr called in afternoon pronounced it quinsey. Preaching in afternoon. Roy Stevenson up this evening. Anna got lumbago. Harold Toombs had car to church.
14 Threatened rain but cleared up. Finished one quilt and put in another. Over to see Anna in evening. Set three hens. Cecil down with car.
