13  Fine. Marion in bed most of day. Ernest went to store. Mr & Mrs Bishop called in evening. Still in bed. Elmer here in evening.

 

14  Lovely day, not very cold. Anita washed and after dinner Keith and Anita went to Wilmot to see Jean Casely. Ernest went to Hunters River with potatoes. $1.15 per bus. Alex McNeills got their new range.

 

15  Raining to-day and freezing. Got Eaton parcel. Institute at Austins at night. Mrs. Ben Woolner and Louis here. Not many at Institute. I could not go.

 

16  Fine. Ernest and Anita went to Hunter River to Dentist. Day fine but very cold in evening. Ernest got two teeth out. Mrs George Stetson very low. Mrs Ed Turner and her sister Rosie very low. Both have had Typhoid.

17  2B. Very cold. Keith at Wesleys sawing wood to-day. Sawed at Jerrys yesterday. Young Peoples at Austins. Anita ready for Town.

 

18  0. Fine but pretty cold. Dad and Anita went to town. Snow and rain storm at night. Lorraine at the Manse to afternoon tea. Ellice over to tea and stayed all night. Town girls at young Will Grahams.

19  Fine day but pretty cold in morning. United Church in afternoon. Ernest got stuck in lane and had to go home. Keith got Nell out and he had to come home. Mrs Ed Turner a little better.

 

20  Lovely day, Ernest and Marion washed. The men working at the ice. Ernest took me down to Mrs Alberts in afternoon. Mrs Turner not quite so well.

 

21  Fine but grey. Snowing this evening. Feeling better to-day. Still at ice. Putting in a lot this year. Poor Mrs Ed Turner died this evening of pneumonia. She has ten children. Whooping cough on the go this winter.

22  Fine. nearly finished ice. Marion working at quilt. Cut up oranges for marmalade. Keith, Marion and Irene went to Stanley to Hockey match. Stanley won the game. Marion got hit with the puck.

 

23  8B. Cold morning. Keith helping Lorne with ice. Ernest went to Stanley in afternoon and I went up to Bay View with him. Very cold to-night but calm. 12B at 7 PM. Letter from Nan.
