26  Not feeling very good to-day. Ernest butchered hogs & Cecil brought two down here.

 

27  Big snow storm, quite wild at times. In bed all day, pretty sick.

 

28  Still in bed on lounge in kitchen. Dad went to Hunter River with pork. Got 12c.

 

29  Got Mother down for the day. Feeling rotten. Fresh pork for dinner.

 

30  Mother went home, quite a few in paying taxes. Lovely night. Mrs Publicover buried. Thermometer dropped to zero.

 

Dec 1st  Snowing but turned to rain and rained all afternoon. Ernest went to see Albert. Children went to Church to practice.

 

2  Finer and colder. Church in afternoon. Not extra good.

 

3  Fine day. Dad washed. Lorraine sick again, sore throat. Ernest went to Rustico.

 

4  Ernest moving bailer house to-day. Ham here. Made candy for bazaar and ironed. Went to Bazaar at night. Pretty flat affair.

 

5  Fine. Jerry went to Town for Anna. Not feeling extra good to-day. Lorraine a little better to-night. Mild, thawing all day.

 

6  Fine but colder. Got the boiler house in place. Wrote to Aunt Sadie. Mrs Wyand got 2 roosters.

7  Lovely day all day. Pauline sick. Mr & Mrs Bishop and Miss Casely called. Letters from Anita & Marion. Both coming home to-morrow.

 

8  Cloudy and started to snow in the morning. Keith went to Town and Anita came home with him at night. Ernest went to Emerald for Marion. Pretty rough night but they got home alright. Pretty wet and chilly.

 

9  Bitter bleak east wind. Poured rain all night long. Mrs Wyand here for tea. Keith started for New Glasgow and turned back. Lorraine very miserable yet.

 

10  Keith sick to-day, took chill. Had Fleming. Thought it might be congestion. Albert very poorly. Terrible night, raining and snowing and blowing a gale

 

11  K. seemed a little better to-day. Dr here twice.

 

12  Fine day. K not quite so well. Wyands here to practice and Vivian over in evening.

 

13  Keiths temperature going up. Institute at Austins at night. Marion had a sore throat and I could not go. On lunch committee so Anita went.

 

14  Had two doctors to-day for Keith and Stevenson said he had pneumonia. Has been very
