6 Just a perfect day all day and a finer night could not be asked for. The Play, Mrs Briggs of The Poultry Yard came off with a bang. Anita was Mrs Briggs, Lorraine Melissa, and Marion Virginia. They made $103.15c. Sold candy. We packed it here in afternoon. Pretty big day and all very tired at night but very satisfied with the success of the play.
7 Lovely day again. Ernest went to town. Feeling very very miserable, just tired and no good.
8 Fine early but snowed very thick and blew a gale before night. Ernest got home at 7 PM very cold and hungry. Got Maud’s pictures framed in Town.
9 Was finer, fairly cold. Ernest had to kill a pig that some how or other broke its back. Practice (Senior) at Jerry’s.
10 Cloudy fine at night. Sewing Anitas blouse. Anita went to rink at night and Thrya came home with her. Choir practice here to-night.
11 Lovely fine day. Ernest, PJ & I went down to Alberts but the sermon didn’t come in good. Mr. Ling here to tea. Preaching in Baptist church at night. I played. Feeling stronger, nerves better.
12 Grey. Went for drive with Ernest to Harolds and Wilburs in the morning. Mrs. Briggs play invited to Hunter River for tomorrow night on 50-50 base.
March 1928
12 Raining in afternoon and at night. Mont out to practice.
13 Cloudy and snowing a little in AM but finer at noon. The Mrs Briggs bunch are off to Hunter River, six sleighs. Keith, Pauline, & I home alone. The bunch got home from H.R. about 1 AM. Everybody tired but happy, made $15.00.
14 Fine. PJ birthday. Girls and everyone tired. Pauline had Isabel and Mable here for supper. Had plum pudding. Dad & I went to Jerry’s for a while in evening. Quite mild.
15 Pouring rain this AM. Thawed all day. Washed and churned. I finished Nans blouse and cut out dress for myself. All in.
16 Lovely day but wind cool still it thawed a lot. I went over to Jerry’s in afternoon and we had practice at night. Went pretty good.
Fred Woolner died in Kensington.
17 Fine morning. Ernest and I went over to school and Dad hung Maud’s picture. Sewing Practice at Wyands tonight.
18 Fine until night. Missionary meeting at Ceds in afternoon. Marion & I went. Snowstorm at night.
19 Not very fine, rain in AM and thawing. Fred Woolner buried in afternoon. Wm Yeo and Katherine here for supper. Practice in hall at night. Very very tired. Stomach not good.
