Got our box of books from Maud

 

Ernest Champions. Did some Christmas shopping.

 

17  Stormed all day long. Choir practice here to-night.

 

18  Grey day all day. Mrs. WD McCoubrey buried this afternoon. Mr Armstrong preached at night.

 

19  Fine washed. Practice here at night.

 

20  Decorated church and had a practice at night at church. Everything going good.

 

21  Fine. Had Group here at night, social night. About twenty here. Very mild, almost rain.

 

22  Still mild. Anna and I drove down to Chester Woolners, bare road to Bob’s corner to help pack baskets for shut-ins of Institute. School examination. Big crowd there. Practice at church at night. Raining.

23  Lovely fine day. Keith went to Rustico in morning and to New Glasgow in afternoon for Mr. Armstrong. Had our Christmas concert at night. Very good crowd and everything went O.K. Tired?

 

24  Keith took Vivian home. Did some baking, made candy and got some chickens ready for Christmas dinner. Lots of Christmas cards coming everyday. Went over to Jerry’s for a little while this evening. Quite a snow

storm and blowing a gale all night.

 

25  Very blustery disagreeable day. Cecil and Leona got down at noon. Children had a good day and Santa was very good to all. Dad & I went to Alberts in the evening. Very bad road but not storming.

 

26  Grey day. Stayed in bed all day. Had the Wyands and Jerry’s over in evening.

 

27  Finer but cold. Washed in morning and helped clean church this afternoon. Made pancakes for supper. Mont here in evening.

 

28  Grey day again. Keith hunting pipe & pump for rink. Arthur, Stewart & Evelyn Woolners here this evening.

 

29  Snowing a little all day. Keith went to Hunter River to get teeth out. Quite a storm at night. Turned soft, rain. Marion has bad cold.

 

30  Lovely day. Ernest went to New Bridge this morning. Have a very stiff neck. Marion very miserable.

 

31  Foggy all day. Not feeling very well. Ernest & Albert went to O’Leary to-day. Practice here to-night. Tired. Irene here all night.
