23  preserve & ginger snaps. Sold 2 porkers, 14 ½ cts/lb.

 

24  Fine morning but rained in afternoon & night. White frost this AM. Fixing over Enids old sweater. Finishing the banking.

 

25  Fine, blowing cold. Froze hard good road. Went to Ben Woolners to Institute at night. Put on some outside windows.

26  Fine and milder. Group at Ben Woolners to-night. Marion went down to Alberts this afternoon.

 

27  Rained in morning. Very warm. Frost all out. Anna took Reggie to Town yesterday for operation for tonsils & adenoids, came home to-day. Clifford Simpson was operated on for appendicitis last Tuesday. He has been very sick to-day but is doing well.

 

28  Boo it’s cold. Snow on ground. George preached in B. Church. Marion went with Eva from church.

 

29  Gray day. Washed. Marion has bad cold. Concert in Mayfield to-night.

 

30  Dreary grey day, rained a little. Cut out dress for Anita. Finished garden fence. Very mild.

 

Dec 1st  Rained nearly all day. Sewing. Ernest & K. killed fowl. Bottled them. Got Eaton order.

 

2  Colder. N.E wind and flurries of snow. Anita

2  sick with cold.

 

3  Bitter cold and blustery. Ernest went with cream to Stanley. Arthur & Evelyn came here from Group. Nan has cold.

 

4  Snowing and quite a wild old storm to-night. Busy all day and didn’t do much.

 

5  Sunday. Storming nearly all day. Arthur went up to Jim Stewarts for snow shoes. Ira & Avalah here in evening. Marion miserable. Roads bad.

 

6  Terrible storm, one of the worst we have ever had. Ernest & K. had to go for the children at noon. Had to leave our bed and go to spare room.

 

7  Fine. Men breaking roads and shoveling snow all day. Milton Greens flue caught fire. Andrew Simpson here to dinner. Evelyn & Anita went to Wilburs.

 

8  Snowing a little all day. E & K. in woods. Sewing. Quite a storm again to-night. Cecil Avalah Arthur Gertrude & George here this evening.

 

9  Fine day. Washed. Went up to Bay View in afternoon and down to Alberts to-night. Girls in to Lewis Toombs to committee meeting. Mont & Marion are writing a paper on reading.

 

10  Fine day, not very cold, wind S. Group at Quilly[?] Rollings[?].
