Sept 26th Sunday and as beautiful clear and cold fall day. Dad & Uncle Gord to Alberts this AM. Anita & Ruth to Rustico with Cecil, Loraine & I to S.S. In the PM Uncle G & Aunt L went to Wyands. The Johnsons were all over for a tramp thru the woods. It was wonderful. We all went to Stanley at night for the Rally Service which was rather punk.
27th Heavy frost last night, balsams scorched, a nightmare of a morning, the bunch left at 1:30, finished dishes at 3:15. Made cookies and drop cakes. Nan & Keith picked tomatoes 2 ½ bushels. Nan & I to Jerry’s tonight discussing Robbie’s departure with Margaret, Cecil, Mont, & Gertrude. Tired. Nan’s a brick.
Dentist Doctor Green & two nurses came today, are using George’s place for an office. Hope River scholars being treated.
28th A dark morning & a beautiful afternoon & we cleaned upstairs in AM. Margaret over in PM to help with downstairs. Robbie’s farewell here to-night, it went fairly good I think. Cecil wrote the address beautifully. Nellie read it & Arthur presented the cufflinks initialed. Allan Stewart here. Doctor Green & Miss Gillen.

29th A beautiful day & busy, Anita at dentist
most of day. Annie here washing and picking beans. Margaret over in PM. L & PJ both at dentists. Got along fine. Keith, Anita, & I over to Jerry’s to social evening – great time. Keith at Fred’s all day.
Sept 30th Ironing. Anita went with Avalah to Hope River school fair. Mrs Blackmore and kiddie went to town to-day. Letters from Alice & Mother. Red Cross nurse at school. L 3 ½ lbs under weight. PJ 4 1/5 lbs. Dad to Rustico, got mackerel & dried cod. Practice here this PM & at church.
October 1st A month to-day since Mumsy went to Ontario. Cleaned upstairs & finished ironing this AM. Had a rest in PM. Keith & Dad dug a few potatoes – a perfect Fall day and evening. Bean supper in NG. YPPG at Rustico. Keith, Anita, and Margaret went. Cecil will take charge. Oh for a good night’s rest. Anita, Ray Nellie went to NG.
2nd Dad went to Moncton to meet Mother. They got home at 11:10 PM. Wilbur & Keith met them at Emerald. Mother
