29  Sunday. Dull all day. Rev Allan McNeill preached in evening. Home all day.

 

30  Lovely day until evening, turned showery and cold. All the crowd over from Jerrys and Albert & wife up. Thrya here to-night.

31  Fine in AM colder and raining in afternoon, finished ironing. Mother packing. All home at night.

 

Sept 1st  Mother, Aunt S. and Mr. Macdonald started for Ontario, interesting trip to station, a dark morning, cleared later. Finished shingling barn roof. In to Wyands at night. Arthur here.

 

2nd  Another dark cold showery morning. Teachers convention Hunters River, no school. Johnson and Miss Moore this evening. Chum of Harolds here sell books. Practice to-night. Dad at political meeting with Wesley at Hope River.

 

3rd  A beautiful day and a busy one. Washed & did the sweeping this AM. Made drop cakes & brown bread & biscuit in PM. Did

Sept 3rd  my first rhubarb relish. Mrs Graham here YPPG to-night. Card from Mother.

 

Sept 4th  In bed this AM. Nan ironed. Scrubbed, made pies. Dora here. To Cemetery to-night. Roy in for flowers. Dad to meeting in Mayfield.

 

Sept 5th  Sunday. S.S. this AM. Enid & Reuel out, all fine. Church this afternoon. Mr. Harding a retired evangelist from S’Side spoke. He’s been hired on for a month. To Stanley to-night.

 

Sept 6th  A beautiful day, we did a good big washing. Tired to-night.

 

Sept 7th  Ironed this AM. Anita started to school.

 

Sept 8th  Busy all day. Made sugar cookies, etc. over to Jerry’s in evening. Paid Anna. Margaret, Nellie, and Arthur here.
