17  Raining early. Tired, had Annie for the day to wash, etc. Mr & Mrs Robinson took us for a drive to Rustico and to Freds to see fox ranch. Myron & Elaine & Ben & Lucy came home to-day.

 

18  Very cold for Aug. Mr. Robinson & wife left for town after dinner. The Robinsons went to S. Side & Freetown Institute at night. We cleared over $100 at Banquet. Tired at night. Wind cold.

 

19  Very cool all day. Garden lovely now. Myron & Elaine and Aunt Sadie came down in AM. The Robinsons left for Town after dinner. Miss Moore is celebrating her birthday.

 

20  Rainy till nearly noon, cleared up lovely. Washed busy all day. Miss Edwards & I went to New Glasgow to get my coat fitted. Group at Wyands.

 

21  Lovely day all day. Ernest & Marion went to O’Leary with Wilbur Clarks. Myron, Elaine, Isobell, & Aunt Sadie were down. Aunt Sadie stayed all night.

 

22  Perfect day. The wanderers returned at 8:40. Myron preached well to-night to a crowded house. Arthur Woolner up this afternoon.

23  Lovely day again, pretty busy. Myron Elaine, Isobel and Eva were down and went to shore in afternoon. Margaret Johnson, Miss Moore, Miss Hall were here this evening.

 

24  Lovely morning but raining this evening, just a lovely gentle rain. Miss Edwards left this morning for Toronto. Elaine Myron & Marion went back for berries. Isobel is just as sweet as can be. Had raspberries for supper.

 

25  Fine this morning but misty the rest of the day went over to Jim Bulmans with Myron and with Bulmans to Miss McMullans funeral, then back to Bulmans and up to Hunter River with Alex McNeills. Mrs. Wyand here sewing all day.

 

26  Drizzly day. Myron took me over to Hunter River to meet Mr Macdonald. Sewing. Busy.

 

27  Lovely day. Myron & Elaine went to Montague. Mother & Aunt Sadie went to Brackley Point to see Emily McNeill. Aunt Sadie here to-night.

 

28  Cloudy but did not rain. Aunt Sed & I went over to Jerry’s. Mrs Bulman brought my coat and dress out this evening. Canned
