8 Grey day and cold, 4B some places. Moderated in afternoon and Anita and I went down to Lorne’s to see the new arrival. Eric Rollings McNeill no less. Ernest has sore back.
9 Fine day but cold. Church in afternoon, Mr Quigley. Sing song at Wyands at night.
10 0. Fine and oh is it cold. Sent Eaton order. Ham here to supper. Too cold to do much but keep on fires.
11 4A. Very cold but calm and a little snow falling. Ernest and Ham working at the pump. Nothing doing.
12 Institute at Webbs. Girls washed in AM. Everyone busy. Institute gave Anita a handkerchief shower. Quite a number here. Wind cold, bleak but the night fine. Trucks still going from Rustico to town.

13 Sawing wood back in field. CGIT practicing at manse and choir practice at night.
14 Snowing and drifting most of day. Killed geese. Feathers flying. YPS at night at Willie Toombs. Edward swell[?] with the girls. Got home at midnight. Emily here.
15 Cold 5A. Big storm and cold and blowing hard. Girls had planned to go to Town but roads too bad. Storm general on Atlantic coast. Letter from Marion.
16 7A. Lovely fine day. Roads bad this morning. Ernest out breaking roads before Church. Boys came to practice in evening, also Elmore McKay.

Jessie Stewart came out with the girls.
17 Anita and Emily went to town. Bad road but fine day. Sold geese to Harold for 11 c per lb. Girls down skating to-night on pond. Eaton & Simpson.
18 10A. Lovely cold day. Every one busy. Ham & Nellie here for dinner.
19 Fine day very chilly in evening. Anita made candy for Emily and took Jessie up in the afternoon. Emilys Examination at night. Edward took Anita & PJ up.
20 Pouring rain in morning, very mild all day. Snow melted fast. Blowing hard and colder to-night. Cavendish school examination. Jessie, Anita & Lorraine went. Dad drove them over. Mailed 53 cards & 13 parcels to day.
21 Colder and blowing hard, sewing. Anita went to Rustico to help decorate the Christmas tree for YPS. Kenneth came up for Emily and Jessie, and they are all at Group. Nice cards from friends to-day.
22 Fine in AM. The Stewarts got away after dinner. Anita at Jerry’s in afternoon. Practice at night at Wyands. More cards.
23 Cold north wind and light snow flurries. Quiet day, all alone, first Sunday for a long time. Church at night at Jerrys.
24 Grey day and snowing most of day.
